The Duke took the lead toward the door, with Anvis and the others following close behind.
At the center of the square, several Reception Mages clad in Pamir Academy robes were already waiting at the landing site.
Behind them, dozens of freshmen in varied attire had gathered together, awaiting the arrival of the academy's Floating Ship.

Seeing the Duke's party arrive, the leading Seventh-Rank Mage placed his left hand over his chest and bowed to the Duke.
Then, several mages straightened their robes slightly and solemnly performed a mage's salute to the Duke.
The first salute was the etiquette observed by Pamir Academy Guides toward a Duke. The second represented a Low-Rank Spellcaster's respect for a Ninth Rank Expert.
The Duke likewise returned the Guides' mage's salute, then stepped aside and gestured for Anvis to come forward.
"This is my child, Anvis. I'll have to trouble you all to look after him along the way."
Anvis stepped forward naturally and calmly saluted the academy Guides.
The mages all nodded, and the leader spoke.
"Please rest assured, Your Grace. Your descendant will receive the finest treatment."
The Duke nodded, then turned his gaze toward the group of freshmen behind the academy Guides.
"Are these this year's freshmen?"
Although Duke Carlot had completely withdrawn his aura by now, the freshmen still instinctively felt nervous. They hardly dared to breathe, like little beasts being watched by a fierce tiger.
"Yes, all the freshmen from the northern region of Carlas Province are here. There are seventy-four in total."
The lead mage replied.
After looking them over, the Duke nodded slightly.
"Not bad."
