Original Sin Angel

Watching the colossal entity before him, Anvis raised a finger. A faint, pale-white holy radiance appeared at the tip of his finger.

It was an incomparably pure divine power, drawn from the true power of Archbishop Yanile, who had now broken through to the Ninth Rank. Though negligible in quantity, within this basement filled with Desire Power, it stood out like a star lit in the night.

Faced with this trace of Holy Power of an extremely high essence, the massive aggregate of flesh and eyeballs reacted. Strands of tangible dark gazes converged upon it.

The faint light dimmed instantly, like a candle flame in the wind.

Yet this dimming was not extinction, but a special transformation of its nature.

Like flames turning to ash and life proceeding toward death, the holy nature of the dimmed radiance vanished completely, replaced by a sense of evil almost impossible to describe in words.

It possessed qualities utterly opposite to divine power, even reminding Anvis of the Holy Book of the Holy Radiance Church and its descriptions of primordial darkness.

As for the strange form of the creature before him, possessing a bizarre and sinister beauty, Anvis searched his memories and finally recalled where he had seen similar information.

It was an ancient sacrificial document of the Heretic God Cult, recording legends of great foreign gods, along with the existence and appearances of their various "Divine Envoys."

Among them, one of the most ancient Divine Envoys had precisely this spherical form, nested within a ring of enormous eyeballs.

The difference was that the Divine Envoy described in the ancient book had a body made of metal, while the thing before him was composed of the flesh and blood of supernatural beings.

"...Then this newborn creation shall be named the Original Sin Angel."
