Interrupting the Chant

It was obvious that the Player named Qi Dalong was working with them. They had deliberately staged this little act just to try to trigger a hidden quest.

If even this could not trigger a quest, then either this Native had no quest at all, or they did have one but required special triggering conditions. For example, carrying certain special items or possessing a particular bloodline.

Seeing that the first step of their plan had failed, the Players decisively moved on to the next step: draw the city guards over, then decide how to handle things depending on the situation.

In a sense, their choice was quite correct, because Fiona's identity truly could not be exposed at the moment.

"Let's slow down a little and wait for the city guards to arrive. If a fight breaks out later, find a chance to plant the tracker amid the chaos.

"If their identity checks out and they aren't afraid of an inspection, we'll first find out who they really are before deciding what to do."

While seemingly leading the way wholeheartedly, the two Players chatted with the others through text on their game panels.
