Chapter 752: A Chance Encounter of Fate
"Who exactly were they? Why did they want to attack us for no reason?"
Fiona belatedly glanced at the two fleeing Players, utterly perplexed.
Her identity clearly had not been exposed, and she had never had any dealings with these Players before. Even when they had openly scanned her, she had held herself back from retaliating.
"My guess is either someone put bounties on you, or they were after your equipment and money."
The Last Dragonborn shrugged. As a Player, he was all too familiar with the various dirty tricks developed on the forums.
After all, Natives targeted by Players were usually stronger than Players themselves. Under such circumstances, schemes and traps were naturally the only way to succeed. Getting someone else to do the killing was just basic practice.
"They attacked others just for money? Don't they find such behavior shameful? How are they any different from those despicable bandits?"
Fiona's eyes widened. She had trouble understanding why anyone would willingly sink so low for money alone.
"Uh... they probably, maybe do find it shameful."
The Last Dragonborn was a little unsure how to answer that question.
If there was any difference, it was probably the difference between despicable bandits and despicable Outsiders.
"I am very interested in the Watchers Association you mentioned, sir. Could you introduce your association to us in greater detail?"
However, to the Last Dragonborn's surprise, Anvis seemed far more interested in the Watchers Association than he had expected.
"Of course, but please do not expect too much. As I said, we are not some major organization. We are merely a gathering of ordinary Professionals who love peace.
"Our organization's philosophy is to fight evil within our means and extend a helping hand to those in need. Like
