Ch. 204Bountiful Harvest

Anvis absorbed the power of the Gem Faceless Female Statue, raising his strength to the limit of Third Rank, then uncovered the ancient Jet-Black Seal behind the Altar. He released the Old Days Secret Scripture to consume it.

  • Anvis discovered that the Old Days Secret Scripture had sealed a manifestation of the Golden Chalice's power, with two uses remaining.
  • Anvis sensed that the force behind the Altar shared the island's Curse's origin but was far more powerful, and he approached the Gem Faceless Female Statue.
  • The Old Days Secret Scripture drained the Alien Power from the statue and fed it back to Anvis, raising him from Second Rank to the limit of Third Rank.
  • Anvis stored the drained statue in his ring and went to the darkness behind the Altar, where the Old Days Secret Scripture devoured the invading Alien Power.
  • Anvis examined the ancient, intact Jet-Black Seal and released the Old Days Secret Scripture to consume it.

Ch. 205Moonshadow Seal and Increased Strength

Anvis absorbed the seal of Rai’s shadow with the Old Days Secret Scripture, gaining enormous power that pushed him to Fifth Rank and strengthened the book. He left the cave with Evan restored, then changed Evan’s clothes and absorbed the Alien Power from his Sea of Spirit.

  • The Old Days Secret Scripture absorbed the cave’s seal into its final page, causing a tremendous surge of power to flood Anvis.
  • Anvis rose to Fifth Rank and condensed a Mental Power Crystal Core, though his zero Spiritual Synchronization Rate kept his actual rank from advancing further.
  • The Old Days Secret Scripture gained the abilities Dark Side of the Moon and Dream Entry, increased its Twisted Seed capacity to seven, and began a hidden evolution.
  • Anvis left the cave and found that Evan had returned to normal while Chom noticed Anvis’s aura had grown stronger.
  • Anvis used Magic to change Evan into normal clothes, then used the Old Days Secret Scripture to absorb the Alien Power in Evan’s Sea of Spirit.

Ch. 206Identity

Anvis restored Evan’s original appearance by removing the Alien Power from his Sea of Spirit, then negotiated with him after joking about preserving the Priest as a specimen. The three returned from the Dream World and noticed that the island’s curse had weakened.

  • Evan woke restored to his original appearance and learned that Jom had frozen the Priest who attacked him.
  • Anvis proposed keeping the Priest’s corpse as a research specimen, prompting Evan to challenge him to a duel.
  • Evan lost after Anvis called on Jom for help, but reclaimed the corpse and its belongings in exchange for agreeing to report Underworld developments.
  • Anvis and the others ended their Dreamwalking state by removing their Magic Green Salt keys and returned to the underground hall.
  • Anvis and Evan sensed that the island’s curse had weakened, and Evan suggested they leave.

Ch. 207Rainy Night

Anvis, Evan, and Chom returned to Lavanles in a violent storm to find Evan’s missing guard and learn when the Black Ship would sail again. At the Sleeping Siren, the bartender claimed that no ships had ever sailed from the island to the continent.

  • Evan told Anvis that his guard was alive and showed him her intact Life Tablet, which they could use to find her.
  • Anvis warned that the island was becoming more dangerous and said they should leave as soon as they found Evan’s guard.
  • The three crossed the storm-lashed island, where the Mutated Magical Beasts seemed unusually restless and the Curse’s weakening had strengthened Rai’s Force Field.
  • Anvis noticed a street corner briefly warp as they entered Lavanles, but Chom and Evan detected nothing, so they hurried to the Sleeping Siren.
  • The bartender told Anvis that no ships sailed from the island to the continent.

Ch. 209The Omen of the End

Anvis and Chom discovered that the island’s natives denied the Black Paddle Steamer and that no other travelers seemed to be present, as an oppressive aura spread across the island. At the house, Lona warned Xia Ye Ying Huo that her Dream Erosion would kill her that night, and Xia Ye Ying Huo spoke of her dream of flying freely.

  • Anvis offered the bartender the keys in exchange for the steamer’s route, but the bartender claimed the ship and mainland travelers had never existed.
  • Chom searched the tavern with his Spiritual Power and found only island natives, while an oppressive aura rose over the island.
  • Xia Ye Ying Huo told Lona about her day as the storm raged and her Oppressive Aura status reduced her attributes.
  • Lona saw the painting change to show a sea cliff and a clearer shadow beneath the water.
  • Lona told Xia Ye Ying Huo that she would die that night, and Xia Ye Ying Huo accepted it before sharing her dream of flying freely.

Ch. 210Moment of True Advent (Part 1)

Xia Ye Ying Huo and Lona shared their dreams as the High Priest began the ritual to bring the Old God back into the present world. The ritual continued beneath the island, anchored by three unconscious Eighth-Rank figures.

  • Xia Ye Ying Huo described her dream of flying beyond the fog and reaching the stars, then asked Lona about her dream.
  • Lona said she wanted to see the world beyond the island.
  • The High Priest prepared to lead the Moon Calling Sect’s ritual, which aimed to guide the Old God back into the present world.
  • The High Priest explained that the Moonshadow Seal’s disappearance disrupted the ritual, forcing him to use the power beneath the island to keep it running.
  • The High Priest began the ritual prayer, and its power connected to three unconscious figures on purple altars: a Holy Radiance Church bishop, a Brown-Haired Traveling Swordsman, and a guard wearing an Icy Wind Crystal Bird pendant.

Ch. 211Moment of True Advent (Part 2)

The High Priest completed a ritual that dispersed the ancient fog over Lavanles and revealed a vast purple moon, bathing the island in corrosive light. Anvis, Jom, and Evan fled into the sea, but the death mist blocked their way, so Anvis asked Jom to locate the Black Ship.

  • The High Priest activated hidden ritual nodes across the island and drove his Scepter into the Altar to complete the ceremony.
  • The island's ancient fog dispersed, revealing a purple full moon as corrosive moonlight spread across the island.
  • At the docks, Anvis and Jom looked away from the moon while Evan stared at it and began glowing with pale green phosphorescence.
  • Jom Sealed Evan's five senses, and Anvis used the Old Days Secret Scripture to remove the phosphorescence and warn him not to look at the moon.
  • The three fled into the sea, but the death mist and the monsters within it stopped them from going farther.
  • Anvis asked Jom to find a way to locate the Black Ship.

Ch. 212Fragment and Core

Anvis learned that the Black Ship was near the Underwater Ruins and decided to retrieve its Magic guidance device. Meanwhile, Claire discovered she was the core fragment of a shattered being and was urged to claim an inheritance beneath the castle and escape the island before it met its end.

  • Chom used a Purple Secret Method Array Disk to locate the Black Ship near the Underwater Ruins, and Anvis decided to approach it and take its guidance device.
  • Claire explored the castle, opened a Secret Door with her blood, and climbed a spiral staircase to a hall containing a glowing fragment.
  • The fragment told Claire she was its indispensable core fragment and that the Misfortune Trait likely came from their original body.
  • Claire asked whether absorbing the fragment would erase its consciousness, and it answered that they were one piece.
  • The fragment told Claire to find the inheritance deep beneath the castle, leave the doomed island, and carry their shared wish to become whole again.

Ch. 213Sunken City Undersea

Claire absorbed the fragment, gained power, and fled the crumbling castle down its spiral staircase as a lava-red glow emerged below. Meanwhile, Anvis, Evan, and Chom reached a vast sunken city, where Chom’s map showed their destination beneath them.

  • Claire touched the fragment and received broken memories of High Elves studying it, a continent-wide flash of light, and fragments scattering like meteors.
  • Claire absorbed the fragment, broke through to a level between late Fourth Rank and the peak of Fourth Rank, and felt an urge to reunite with the other fragments.
  • The castle began to crumble after the fragment vanished, so Claire memorized the banner’s dark-gold symbol and leaped into the spiral staircase.
  • Anvis, Evan, and Chom crossed waters crowded with mutated sea beasts and arrived above a submerged city beneath the Purple Moonlight.
  • Chom showed Anvis the illusory map, which marked a stationary point of light directly beneath them.

Ch. 214Physics Casting Material

Anvis and his companions discovered that the Black Ship was buried in the underwater ruins, while the High Priest used the Golden Chalice to strengthen the ritual and summon the drowned city. As the city rose and dragged their ship into its anti-magic field, Anvis dumped his stored items onto the deck, identifying the contents as casting materials.

  • Jom cut a section of the underwater ruins free and raised it, revealing the Black Ship and the lifeless-looking crewmen who had landed on the island with Anvis.
  • The High Priest placed the Golden Chalice containing Old God's Blood on the Altar and used its power to sustain the ritual.
  • Jom identified the Black Ship as the Navigation Device, and Anvis decided they would leave immediately.
  • The castle on the sea cliff collapsed, and the phosphorescent underwater city began rising from the sea.
  • A tremendous force dragged the ship toward the city, where a High-Rank Anti-Magic Field nullified Jom's sword strike and the High Priest's mental attack threatened the group.
  • Anvis released the contents of his rings onto the deck and told Evan that the objects were casting materials.

Ch. 215Purple Moon's Changes

The Purple Moon’s domain engulfed the island and cut it off from the Main World, while Anvis realized that Duke Carlot was struggling to reach him through the Family Amulet. As the islanders transformed beneath the moonlight, Anvis considered using the Anti-Magic Metal Boxes to break the field.

  • The High Priest’s phantom raised his scepter and unleashed a vast domain of Purple Moonlight that enveloped the city and the Black Paddle Steamer.
  • Anvis used the Family Amulet to send a signal to Duke Carlot, who tried to open a passage into the domain but met the Purple Moon’s Alien Power.
  • The High Priest said no one could enter the god’s domain from outside before the god awakened, while Chom remained occupied and Evan and Anvis lacked the strength to escape.
  • Anvis considered using the Anti-Magic Metal Boxes to overload the city’s Anti-Magic Field.
  • The islanders of Port City, Lavanles, walked into the moonlight and began dissolving into phosphorescent dust as Xia Ye Ying Huo and Lona watched from inside a house.
  • The Oil Painting changed to show a corrupted Youth and Girl, a vast Purple Moon, and twisted figures celebrating in an ancient city.

Ch. 216Confronting Reality

Anvis and his companions were dragged into the Ancient City Ruins beneath the Divine Moonlight, where the Great Temple’s doors opened and the High Priest began bringing down the Purple Moon. As alien power overwhelmed Evan and Chom, Anvis concealed his condition and watched the threat to reality grow.

  • Anvis hid the two metal hemispheres in his cloak and searched the ship’s scattered supplies while Evan equipped himself and Chom lost control of the ship in the Anti-Magic Field.
  • The Black Ship approached the Ancient City Ruins as the Great Temple’s stone doors opened onto the Chaotic Dark Space, and a strange heartbeat began to affect Evan and Chom.
  • Anvis pretended to suffer under the alien power while the ship entered the moonlight and his Old Days Secret Scripture absorbed the surrounding fluctuations.
  • The High Priest declared that reality would return and raised his Scepter toward the Purple Moon.
  • The Purple Moon expanded and began descending toward the city as the Great Temple’s doors opened wider, and Anvis resolved to prevent them from opening completely.

Ch. 217Praise the Sun

As the Purple Moon descended and the Great Temple’s gates neared opening, Anvis used a timed device to trigger a massive explosion that could break the Anti-Magic Field. The blast restored Mana outside the city, where Anvis shielded himself, Jom, and Evan as the shockwave struck.

  • Anvis assembled his timed device with the Secret Plutonium core and neutron reflector, then purged the Alien Power corrosion from Jom and Evan.
  • Anvis warned Jom that he would try to break the Anti-Magic Field with a family Arcane Artifact, and the three abandoned the Black Ship.
  • The High Priest accelerated the Purple Moon’s descent and continued opening the Great Temple’s gates as Anvis warned that the moon’s fall heralded dawn.
  • Trickster Mage appeared on the Black Ship, mistook the scattered loot for valuable equipment, and watched the hourglass run out.
  • The metal sphere detonated in a sunlike White Light, killing Trickster Mage and restoring Mana outside the city.
  • Anvis formed a crystal-like Mana shield around himself, Jom, and Evan as the devastating shockwave swept through.

Ch. 218The Moon in the Mushroom Cloud

Anvis’s Secret Plutonium explosion devastated the Ruins and severed the energy sustaining the Purple Moon Descent ritual. The Purple Moon was frozen by rule power, the gate’s darkness vanished, and an unseen presence warned Anvis that it would return.

  • The Secret Plutonium core detonated with amplified force, engulfing the High Priest and destroying the Ruins’ buildings and ritual arrangement.
  • Chom’s Magic Shield protected Anvis and the others, while Anvis assessed the blast as comparable to an Eighth Rank Peak Super-Rank Magic.
  • The wounded High Priest tried to continue the ritual, but the Purple Moon could no longer descend and was frozen by rule power.
  • Evan asked Anvis what he had done as a cold presence beyond the gate confronted him and promised to return.
  • Time resumed, and the darkness inside the gate vanished without the Purple Moon’s power.

Ch. 219Myth Reenacted

The High Priest sacrificed the Holy Grail and the island’s inhabitants to gain enough power to fight Duke Carlot and send the Purple Moon crashing down. The island’s dormant volcanoes erupted, destroying the ritual’s core and cutting off the High Priest’s power, though the Holy Grail and three Rank 8 sacrifices remained intact beneath the lava.

  • The High Priest used the Black Stone Scepter to burn the Holy Grail, the Moon-Calling Cultists, the sacrifices, and island residents for power.
  • Duke Carlot appeared beside Anvis and attacked the High Priest with Rule Power, but the High Priest’s Alien Power resisted him.
  • The High Priest sent the Purple Moon plunging toward the group, and Carlot hurled a Crystal Ice Pyramid to intercept it.
  • The flow of Alien Power stopped, the Purple Moon domain shattered, and Anvis saw the island’s dormant volcanoes erupt.
  • The eruptions destroyed the ritual’s core node and buried the altars, Holy Grail, and three Rank 8 Professionals beneath magma, which could not harm them.

Ch. 220Spoils and Return

After the Duke defeated the Moon Calling Sect, Anvis claimed his share of the sect’s spoils and returned to Lavanles Port, where he recruited Xia Ye Ying Huo for a quest. The chapter ended with the Girl accepting a dangerous task to collect volcanic stones.

  • The Duke froze the Purple Moon, sealed the High Priest, and gathered the Moon Calling Sect’s wealth, while Anvis received a share of the island’s resources and the Black Stone Scepter’s analysis credit.
  • The Duke erased the mushroom cloud over the destroyed Underwater Ruins, then took Evan to search the mountains for his missing Eighth Rank Guard.
  • Anvis and Chom returned to ruined Lavanles Port, where Anvis swept up the glowing Emis Dust with his Spiritual Power.
  • Xia Ye Ying Huo struggled to collect Emis Dust but could not pick it up, then recognized Anvis as the beginner guide NPC.
  • Anvis offered Xia Ye Ying Huo a bottle that could collect Emis Dust in exchange for investigating the volcanic region and gathering ten volcanic stones, triggering a C-rank quest.

Ch. 221Anomalous Element

Anvis healed Xia Ye Ying Huo and cleared her Dream Erosion, then accompanied her to the Anomalous Zone to help her companion Lona. Inside, he recognized that Lona appeared differently to Xia Ye Ying Huo and saw that the changed Painting possessed an anomalous trait equivalent to a Ninth Rank Limit material.

  • Xia Ye Ying Huo discovered that Dream Burning was draining her health and learned that enabling status alerts would cost 64.8 yuan.
  • Anvis restored Xia Ye Ying Huo's health and dispelled her Dream Erosion III after Rai's Force Field fluctuations vanished from Lavanles Port.
  • Xia Ye Ying Huo asked Anvis to help Lona, who she said was cursed and unable to leave a haunted house, and Anvis agreed to investigate.
  • Anvis, Chom, and Xia Ye Ying Huo entered the Anomalous Zone, where Chom raised his sword at the figure Xia Ye Ying Huo identified as Lona.
  • Xia Ye Ying Huo shielded the figure in the fireplace, and Anvis told Chom to lower his sword after seeing her vision of Lona.
  • Anvis noticed that the Painting had changed and recognized its anomalous trait as equivalent to a Ninth Rank Limit material.

Ch. 222Dream Awakening (Part One)

Anvis learned that the residents of Lavanles lived inside Lai’s Dream Realm and were burned each full moon to fuel the God Statue. He gave Xia Ye Ying Huo a reward and agreed to prepare a way for her to take Lona away.

  • Anvis took the ancient Painting and stored it in his ring.
  • Xia Ye Ying Huo protected Lona from Chom’s sword pressure even after Anvis warned her that Lona was an Active Aberration who drained life force through touch.
  • Anvis gave Xia Ye Ying Huo a Magic Inscription Crystal Bottle as an advance quest reward and said he needed to prepare a way for her to take Lona away.
  • Anvis and Chom went to Lai Temple, where Anvis found that the God Statue had become the Purple Moon and its Dream Realm had vanished.
  • Anvis realized that Lavanles’s residents were Dream Creatures who relived one month forever and were burned by moonlight each full moon to fuel Lai’s God Statue.
  • Anvis learned that Emis Dust came from residents who retained a trace of selfhood and imagination through repeated cycles.

Ch. 223Dream Awakening (Part Two)

Anvis collected Old God-infused materials from the ruined Lai Temple before returning to test a legendary Secret Art on Xia Ye Ying Huo. Lona gave Xia Ye Ying Huo a unique quest item and began telling her the story behind a Drift Bottle, ending with an old man explaining why a boat could not carry it off the island.

  • Anvis had Chom collect Rai-infused stone and unusual grass from the Lai Temple, then surveyed the ruined Lavanles Port and the erupting volcano.
  • Anvis and Chom returned to the house in the Anomalous Zone to test a legendary Secret Art on Xia Ye Ying Huo.
  • After failing to find more Emis Dust, Xia Ye Ying Huo returned to the house, where Lona gave her a unique quest item called a Drift Bottle.
  • Lona told Xia Ye Ying Huo about a girl who wanted to learn about the world beyond the island and tried sending a wish in a bottle out to sea.
  • An old man told the girl that she had to throw the bottle from the highest cliff beyond the island's mountains, and said no boat could withstand the sea monsters.

Ch. 224The Secret Ritual Between Girls (Part 1)

Lona recalled how she became trapped in the haunted house and how Xia Ye Ying Huo became her friend. After Lona gave Xia Ye Ying Huo a gift, Anvis confirmed that both girls wanted Lona to leave, meeting the conditions for a Ritual.

  • Lona remembered being bullied, abandoned in the ruins, and awakening inside the house with powers that kept her trapped there.
  • Lona recalled how she watched Port City repeat its cycles and learned that outsiders who stayed too long could become unable to leave.
  • Lona described how Xia Ye Ying Huo treated her as a friend and protected her despite being afraid.
  • Lona gave Xia Ye Ying Huo a gift, and Xia Ye Ying Huo embraced her before Lona pulled away and warned her not to touch her.
  • Anvis returned with Chom, confirmed that Xia Ye Ying Huo wanted Lona to leave, and asked Lona if she was willing to go with her.
  • Lona agreed to leave, and Anvis said the conditions for the Ritual had been met.
