Ch. 465Backstab

Anvis learned that traitors within Embers planned to attack their allies during the joint counteroffensive, but he concealed his knowledge and let the operation proceed. When the attack began, Spark and loyal Embers forces thwarted the betrayal, and Embers was disbanded as its troops changed sides.

  • Mitchell warned Anvis that several Embers leaders planned to betray the Resistance during the next day's counteroffensive.
  • Anvis thanked Mitchell, said he would verify the intelligence, and decided the organization would no longer be needed after the war.
  • Spark, Embers, and Pride of the Sun launched their coordinated assault against the kingdom allied forces.
  • Leo watched as Embers units feigned retreat and then attacked their allies, but Spark professionals shielded most of the targets.
  • Loyal Embers legions killed the Players who had accepted the secret mission, changed to Spark insignia, and received notice that Embers had been disbanded.

Ch. 466Betrayal and Opera

Anvis left the Federation for the Gloria Empire after confirming that his plans had eased the threat to his family, while the Embers Organization collapsed and its members joined Spark. At Patikala Grand Theater, the Speaker prepared to activate a hidden backdoor in the Construct Network before its coverage reached the threshold he secretly needed.

  • Anvis’s orders led to the defeat of the Embers Organization’s senior attackers, and the Kingdom Allied Forces broke through the encirclement at heavy cost.
  • Former Embers leaders blamed the Man in the Mirror for betraying the organization, and most remaining members joined Spark in exchange for compensation.
  • The Resistance Organization jointly wanted the Man in the Mirror, while Leo publicly vowed to deal with him if found.
  • After the Patikala Agreement’s early end loosened his Prophet-rank bottleneck, Anvis prepared to return to the Gloria Empire, believing his family’s crisis was half resolved.
  • The Speaker arrived at the Patikala Grand Theater and prepared to use his antique Key to activate a backdoor in the Construct Network, which had reached about fifty percent coverage.

Ch. 467Fairness and Justice

The Speaker planned to activate the Construct Network’s hidden program, which would trap connected users’ consciousness and provoke intense emotions to boost their Spiritual Power. After noticing Anvis at the opera, he invited him to his private box, where they met under the names Fal and Zasite as the second act began.

  • The Speaker considered the Construct Network’s hidden backdoor and decided to activate it that night before rival factions could gain an advantage.
  • As the opera began, the Speaker observed the audience and noticed Anvis in a private box, sensing that he was at least a High-rank Prophet.
  • The Speaker ordered the Chief Officer to invite Anvis to his box after the first act.
  • Anvis switched to an Avatar using a secret technique and followed the Chief Officer to the top-floor box.
  • The Speaker introduced himself as Fal, and Anvis gave the name Zasite; they exchanged a toast as the second act began.

Ch. 468Relativity of Fairness

Anvis discussed whether serving the majority could justify sacrificing authenticity and fairness to a minority while watching an opera with Lord Fal. Lord Fal revealed a mysterious key that could change the world, but Anvis refused to activate it.

  • Anvis argued that performers and theater owners could reasonably favor audience enjoyment and majority benefit over authenticity, while fairness depended on whose interests were considered.
  • Lord Fal realized Anvis was meeting him through a clone, and Anvis admitted he used it because he feared dangers beyond his abilities.
  • The opera’s protagonist Theo Siss defeated the Black Water Mysterious Snake and discovered a damaged secret door glowing with treasure before the curtain fell.
  • During intermission, Lord Fal showed Anvis a dark golden key and claimed it could change the world, then invited him to activate it.
  • Anvis declined to use the key and pushed it back toward Lord Fal.

Ch. 469On and Off the Stage

Anvis and Lord Fal watched the opera’s third and fourth acts, which showed Theo uncovering the plot against his father and taking revenge on the conspirators. As the fifth act began, the two discussed whether Theo’s actions were just before parting.

  • The third act revealed that Earls Hans and Sibil had framed Earl Siss, and Theo began planning his revenge.
  • Theo’s schemes helped provoke war, and leaked intelligence led to ambushes that badly weakened the two Earls’ forces.
  • Theo defeated Earls Hans and Sibil in a duel, then led their remaining troops to victory over the enemy army.
  • Lord Fal said Theo’s just goal could make him stand on the side of Justice despite his unjust methods, and Anvis asked whether Fal would be an audience member or an actor in the next act.
  • Anvis declined Lord Fal’s invitation, and they parted as the fifth act’s opening bell rang.

Ch. 470Stellar Radiance

Anvis discovered that the Construct Network was rapidly gaining influence over the Web of Fate, pushing the Federation toward a final battle over a prophet’s imminent Ninth Rank breakthrough. He flew to the Ceiling Wall and saw countless points of starlight illuminate the land below.

  • Anvis secretly sent the Old Days Secret Canon to an Avatar in the Silver Moon Kingdom, then destroyed the traces of his presence and dismissed his Avatar.
  • The Construct Network’s influence over the Web of Fate surged, and High-rank Prophets recognized that the final battle had begun.
  • Anvis traced the surge to the Federation’s Construct Network users and the Speaker, while prophets debated whether to destroy the network or eliminate its Ninth Rank supporters.
  • Prophets discovered that destroying network users did not sever their Fate Threads because the Construct Network could preserve their consciousnesses after their bodies died.
  • Anvis urged the prophets to act quickly, then flew to an altitude of 29,999 meters and stopped at the Ceiling Wall.
  • Anvis looked down through his Fate Perspective and saw countless points of starlight appear across the dark land.

Ch. 471Pan-Consciousness

Anvis watched the Magic Council prepare a vast ritual to use the Construct Network’s collective power to break the Ceiling Wall, while Gray Mist neared his breakthrough. Orvanni disrupted the ritual from Sky City, but the battle was still unfolding.

  • Anvis saw Ninth Ranks converge on the diviners’ ritual and sent a Ninth Rank Limit avatar toward the battle while preparing his Rune Arrays in the Magic Crystal Mining Area.
  • The Speaker explained that the Construct Network had gathered the Pan-Consciousness power of nearly a hundred million users and that the council planned to use it in a single spell to break the invisible dome.
  • The Speaker said the ritual’s completion would coincide with Gray Mist breaking through the Ninth Rank Diviner and wondered how Star Gazer would respond.
  • Orvanni sensed the upheaval in the Web of Fate and used the Star of Destiny Star Gazer had left him, causing a rune in the Speaker’s array to collapse.
  • Orvanni activated the Star of Destiny twice more after the Speaker stabilized the array, further interfering with the ritual.

Ch. 472Contest for Control

Gray Mist used a prepared ritual array to counter the Star Gazer’s Ripple of Fate, while the ripple spread across the Federation and blessed those opposing Speaker’s side. Anvis waited for the prophets to be occupied before activating arrays intended to seize control of the Construct Network, as Ninth Rank Experts gathered to attack Speaker’s nearly completed array.

  • The Star Gazer told Orvanni that his former student was close to reaching Ninth Rank but that fate said it was not yet time.
  • Gray Mist used his ritual array and Fate Artifacts to battle the Star Gazer’s second Ripple of Fate, gradually gaining the advantage.
  • The ripple escaped Gray Mist’s interference and spread across the Federation, blessing Anvis, Landon, and others who might oppose Speaker’s side.
  • Anvis connected his main body to arrays hidden in Magic Crystal mines, preparing to interfere with and seize control of the Construct Network while Gray Mist was occupied.
  • Ninth Rank Experts from the other two great kingdoms arrived and agreed to use Limit Breaking attacks to destroy Speaker’s nearly completed array.

Ch. 473The Struggle

The Ninth Ranks attacked the Speaker’s Defense Magic Array, but he used the power of civilization to repel even their strongest strikes and ordered the Ritual to continue. In the Web of Fate, Anvis prepared to join forces with the other prophets to seize the Construct Network, while Landon supported Leo’s side from a distance.

  • Bayer began the final stage of the Ritual as the Ninth Ranks prepared their attacks against the Speaker’s faction.
  • Veronica used the Star of Destiny to anchor the Defense Magic Array and reveal its weakest spell nodes.
  • The Speaker raised a dark golden key and unleashed a domain of white light that consumed the attacks, including the three Limit Breaking strikes, before dimming slightly.
  • The Speaker declared that civilization’s collective will could contend with the world and ordered his allies to continue the Ritual.
  • Anvis asked the other High-rank Prophets to help him seize control of the Construct Network, explaining that he would open its underlying permissions.
  • Landon arrived with Leo’s forces and, after receiving Secret Treasure potions from Anvis’s subordinate in Spark, provided support from a distant position.

Ch. 474Mutation

Landon’s awakened Lord Dark Raven seized control of his body and flew toward the battlefield, where the Ninth-Rank Lords struggled to damage the sun. Anvis proposed severing the sun’s connection to the Construct Network so the Lords could destroy it before the Ritual finished.

  • Lord Dark Raven awoke early, recovered some power and memories, and sensed his mortal enemy inside the sun.
  • Lord Dark Raven took control of Landon’s body, manifested a shadow cloak and crow, and flew toward the battlefield.
  • Crystal Door Bayer and the other Ninth-Rank Lords realized their attacks barely affected the sun because it had an enormous supply of Mana from the Construct Network.
  • Anvis arrived and offered to sever the Construct Network’s connection to the sun so the Lords could attack it together.
  • Crystal Door Bayer and the other Lords accepted Anvis’s plan, and Archbishop Mark reluctantly agreed to cooperate.

Ch. 475Radiance Shines

The Speaker’s Ritual faced a sudden strike that disabled most Construct Network connection headbands and destabilized the network. Although the Speaker deployed spare Construct Prosthetic Bodies, the Ninth Rankers attacked again while the Ritual’s power and controls were failing.

  • Starlight reported that the Construct Network’s devices were already being cleared, while the Speaker insisted the Ritual would finish in less than ten minutes.
  • The diviners launched a coordinated fate attack on Gray Mist, who blocked it without suffering serious harm.
  • Blue light surged outward from Magic Crystal Mining Areas across the Federation, overloading ordinary connection headbands and reducing the Construct Network’s devices to about 20 percent.
  • The Speaker activated millions of spare Construct Prosthetic Bodies, easing the network’s burden and restoring it to around 60 percent.
  • The blue light destabilized the network’s power transmission and caused the Speaker’s control key to malfunction as the Ninth Rankers launched another attack, including an Arrow of God’s Punishment.

Ch. 476Network Connection Error

The Speaker learned that an unknown attack had crippled the Construct Network while Gray Mist fought to recover its permissions. Anvis and the other Prophets seized control of the network, but Gray Mist counterattacked, and the battle turned in the Star Gazer’s side’s favor.

  • Star reported that an unknown attack had disrupted the Construct Network and that Gray Mist could recover only part of its permissions within one magic hour.
  • The Speaker suspected the Star Gazer had left a contingency in place and told the others to continue the Ritual while he and Gray Mist handled the situation.
  • Anvis explained that a dream had prompted him to prepare for the network’s danger as the Prophets seized its permissions and gained enormous power.
  • Gray Mist overcame the Prophets’ earlier attack and the Star Gazer’s Ripple of Fate, then began reclaiming the permissions and counterattacking.
  • The Prophets fought Gray Mist to keep their power, and the battle began to tilt toward the Star Gazer’s side.

Ch. 477The Price and the Summoning

The Speaker trapped the Ninth Ranks inside the ritual and used their captured power to restore the Defense Magic Array while Star helped him reclaim the Construct Network permissions. Anvis seized half of the network’s foundational permissions, and the Speaker answered by sacrificing the dreams of the trapped Rule Power wielders and a million people to summon Maerim Sakartis.

  • The Speaker revealed a final safeguard and bound every Ninth Rank in the ritual except Star, suppressing their attempts to escape.
  • The Speaker asked Star to contact Gray Mist and request the transfer of all the network permissions he had reclaimed.
  • Star questioned whether the plan was truly best for the Speaker, then contacted Gray Mist, and the network’s power restored the Defense Magic Array.
  • Anvis rewrote half of the Construct Network’s foundational permissions, turning the Fate Threads of half its connected users icy blue.
  • The Speaker cut his hand, stained the dark golden key with blood, and summoned Maerim Sakartis using the dreams of fourteen Rule Power wielders and a million living beings as a sacrifice.

Ch. 478Anomaly

The Speaker summoned the Dream Lord Maerim, spreading a sleep-inducing anomaly that incapacitated nearly all Ninth Ranks and millions of network users. Anvis resisted the dream through the Old Days Secret Scripture and revealed himself to the Speaker as the ritual continued.

  • The Speaker chanted an ancient prayer, causing Maerim's aura and eerie melody to spread across the battlefield and the Construct Network.
  • Crown of Thorns Mark recognized the foreign god's power, but most Ninth Ranks fell asleep, while a few escaped using Secret Arts.
  • Mark invoked the Holy Book and Divine Favor, then charged the Speaker, but the Defense Magic Array drained his power and he collapsed into slumber.
  • The Old Days Secret Scripture protected Anvis from Maerim's dream, though it struggled to contain the dark yellow contamination.
  • Anvis rose in his Avatar, removed his Mask, and greeted the Speaker, who recognized the power of the Old Days Secret Scripture.

Ch. 479Dream Descends

Anvis confronted the Speaker, who revealed that he served the Dream Dominator and aimed to break the world's barrier and return to the void. The Speaker recognized Anvis as the leader of the Circle of Truth, while Anvis stalled for time as the surrounding reality continued to merge with the Dream World.

  • Anvis confirmed that he had come to stop the Speaker, who invited him to join as a fellow kindred and explained his plan to use the Dream Dominator to break the Ceiling Wall.
  • The Speaker revealed that Anvis carried an aura from beyond the realm and identified him as the leader of the Circle of Truth.
  • Anvis stalled while power gathered in the Old Days Secret Scripture, which he used to bear the Construct Network's power.
  • The Speaker condemned Anvis for his rebellion and sacrifices, and Anvis accused the Speaker of using the Construct Network and millions of lives for his own breakthrough.
  • As the Dream World spread into reality, the Speaker insisted that those trapped in the Construct Network would awaken after the ritual, and Anvis challenged whether he believed that claim.

Ch. 480The Path Ahead for Civilization

Anvis challenged Speaker Fal’s plan to break the Ceiling Wall, while Fal explained his pact with an otherworldly being and invited Anvis to join him. Anvis revealed that he was Prophet Mirror and began gathering Construct Network power to attack the ritual.

  • Anvis questioned whether breaking the Ceiling Wall would truly help humanity, and Speaker Fal argued that the strongest were civilization’s essential core.
  • Fal explained that an injured being from beyond the world had shared knowledge of the Star Sea and revealed that the world’s incomplete rules prevented advancement beyond Ninth Rank.
  • Strange yellowish snow fell as the ritual neared completion, covering the sleeping Ninth Ranks in ice while Anvis’s avatar resisted the pressure.
  • Fal invited Anvis to join his cooperation with the external being, but Anvis refused and said he wanted to do something for the world.
  • Anvis drew upon the Construct Network, revealed himself as Prophet Mirror, and formed a blue-white mana sphere whose power surpassed the Limit Breaking level.

Ch. 481Battle and Ambush

Anvis attacked the Speaker’s Defense Magic Array while the Ritual approached completion, but the array survived his strongest strike. After Anvis finally shattered it and the Speaker trapped him with Rule Lightning, a figure wielding Alien Power ambushed the Speaker from behind.

  • The Speaker told Anvis that the Ritual would finish soon and that Anvis could not gather enough power to stop him.
  • Anvis launched a blazing blue-white attack, but it nearly exhausted rather than destroyed the Speaker’s Defense Magic Array.
  • Anvis kept attacking until he shattered the array with about thirty seconds left before the Ritual’s completion.
  • The Speaker seized the opening to bind Anvis with Dark Gold Rule Lightning.
  • A figure surrounded by black Alien Power appeared behind the Speaker and plunged Wither-wreathed hands into his back.

Ch. 482Final Battle (Part 1)

Anvis destroyed Speaker's Ritual Magic Circle with help from a mysterious attacker using the Power of Wither, but Ma'eilimu's influence persisted and empowered Speaker. The two faced off with powerful attacks, and Speaker questioned the mysterious power protecting Anvis.

  • A mysterious attacker ambushed Speaker with the Power of Wither, disrupting his mana and leaving him vulnerable to Anvis.
  • Anvis used a Space Slash to destroy the Ritual Magic Circle, ending its signal and damaging the sleeping ninth-rank Magic Nodes within it.
  • Speaker revealed that Ma'eilimu had already learned this world's approximate location and used an Eternal Sleep Orb to put the attacker, appearing as Landon, to sleep.
  • Speaker and Anvis launched powerful orbs at each other, but Speaker's dreamlike state and Anvis's Old Days Secret Scripture nullified their effects.
  • Speaker noticed that a power beyond the Construct Network protected Anvis and asked what it was.

Ch. 483Final Battle (Part 2)

The Speaker’s summoning of Ma'eilimu’s power transformed the battlefield and spread Sleepy Snow across the continent, leaving Anvis unable to stop the approaching descent. As powerful factions prepared their last defenses and Professionals fled the snow, a diamond-like Dragon carrying a dark green sun plunged into it.

  • The Speaker dismissed Anvis and proclaimed that the Dream Dominator was about to arrive as the sky and Anomalous Zone changed around them.
  • Gray Mist and Star watched from a distant mountain, while prophets and political leaders recognized that the summoning had become difficult or impossible to prevent.
  • Saint Messiah III ordered the Church to activate the Mirror of the End, and Gloria III prepared the Empire’s true foundation for war.
  • Sleepy Snow spread beyond the battlefield, forcing Professionals to flee and causing many low- and mid-rank Professionals to collapse where it reached them.
  • A diamond-like Dragon carrying a dark green sun streaked across the sky and plunged into the snow.

Ch. 484Final Battle (Part 2)

Anvis used the Old Days Secret Scripture to seal the Speaker, whose attack destroyed the soul fragment controlling Anvis’s avatar. The enormous eye in the sky remained shut, the Dream World’s anomalies faded, and Anvis emerged badly injured but alive.

  • Anvis revealed that the Speaker was Ma'eilimu’s anchor and that killing him could cut Ma'eilimu off from the world.
  • The Force Dragon Avatar brought the Old Days Secret Scripture to the battlefield, and the book opened its Blank Page to seal the Speaker.
  • The Speaker attacked Anvis with Suo’s Nightmare Devour Ray, destroying the avatar’s soul fragment, but the Seal continued without Anvis’s control.
  • The Speaker was sealed inside the Old Days Secret Scripture, and the enormous eye in the sky trembled but did not open.
  • Anvis’s other avatar emerged through an Amulet and stroked the Speaker’s image in the book, declaring that Justice always won.
