When the fabric was lifted, special stone coffers of pitch black were revealed beneath. Generally speaking, this special stone was excellent for containing Lost Objects, so the two sects had made much the same choice.
It was not that better containment technology did not exist; it was all controlled by the governments of various nations and not made available to private organizations.
The New Light Sect's box was larger. Once opened, it revealed a life-sized eagle specimen. Only its eyes had been replaced with translucent, crystal-clear gemstones. Those gemstones were the Lost Object.
What appeared on the Primitive Sect's side was a strange sculpture. It seemed like a curled-up humanoid figure, yet on closer inspection, it resembled the branches of some plant. Looking again, however, it seemed like a naturally formed stone.
Almost every religion possessed Lost Objects. These two items could both be considered extremely important to their respective sects. The two sects could not have endured without them, and now, in order to fight the Celestial Mystery Sect, they had brought them out.
Lost Objects were immensely valuable, but they were not afraid of others coveting or stealing them. The New Light Sect had a Saint and could protect its own possessions.
