"What are you looking at?"
Isobel wrapped her arms around Albert's neck from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder as her gaze fell on the strange Metal Book in his hands. Years of living together told her that the book was definitely hiding some secret.
"Nothing."
Albert placed the Metal Book on the bedside table and covered a yawn with his hand. "Let's turn in early tonight. I'll take you out tomorrow. Staying at home all the time must be boring."
"There's nothing fun in Hogsmeade either."
Though Isobel said that, she did not refuse. Staying at home all the time really was boring, especially alone.
"Where do you want to go on our date tomorrow?"
"A date... that brings back memories."
The lights in the bedroom soon went out, and scattered murmurs drifted from within.
The lines drawn across the Metal Book's open page gradually faded away.
If someone were to open the Metal Book and examine it closely, they would find that the page Albert had just turned to was a map. Various ink dots marked it, one of them labelled: Lucius Malfoy.
Finding Voldemort's whereabouts was not actually that difficult.
All he needed to do was find where Voldemort was hiding. As Voldemort's most loyal servants, the Death Eaters were bound to know where he was hiding.
By tracking a Death Eater, he could find Voldemort's whereabouts.
Albert happened to know of a Death Eater at Hogwarts, one who was easy to track: Professor Snape, Head of Slytherin.
Snape might have been a highly skilled wizard, but that did not mean he was skilled enough to spot the traces left behind by magic at a glance. Nor would he ever imagine that someone was tracking him.
