Inside the senior Meeting Room of the British Ministry of Magic.
Minister Scrimgeour frowned deeply as he listened to Kingsley, Director of the Crisis Response Team, deliver his recent report. The Death Eaters and their lackeys had been causing trouble all across Britain, seriously disrupting the Ministry of Magic's normal operations.
Large numbers of wizards had been dispatched to deal with the mess left behind by those Dark wizards, leaving the Ministry severely short-staffed. Moreover, everyone had been worn down in body and mind by the massive workload and overtime.
Even though Scrimgeour had generously provided overtime allowances, it still could not ease everyone's exhaustion. Some departments had already endured two consecutive weeks of intense overtime.
"This is an open scheme by the Death Eaters. They are forcing us to spend enormous amounts of effort solving these problems." After hearing Kingsley's report, Scrimgeour looked around at the other senior Ministry officials in the Meeting Room. "As for the reason, I think everyone has already guessed it. They want us to expose weaknesses so they can better infiltrate the Ministry of Magic."
"They are succeeding." Godwin Robards looked utterly exhausted as he said helplessly, "Everyone has been very tired lately. I am worried that the Death Eaters have already secretly taken control of some Ministry employees."
The atmosphere in the Meeting Room suddenly froze. Everyone was worried about this, worried that their families would become targets for threats.
