"Looks like I was lucky. I didn't die at the hands of those scum!"
After waking up, Truman reached up to clutch his throbbing head. Turning to the side, he saw Cedric sitting beside him and reading Self-Defense Guide, and could not help letting out a sigh of relief. It seemed his life had been saved.
"Albert thought you might be in danger, so he had us pull you out," Cedric said, setting down the book with a smile. "How do you feel now?"
"Terrible. The Cruciatus Curse feels terrible." Truman looked around curiously. "Where am I?"
"The Defence Association's temporary Medical Room," Cedric replied without hesitation.
"What happened to those scum afterward?" Truman tried to sit up, only to grimace in pain as his whole body ached.
"The Ministry of Magic took them away. As for whether they'll be sentenced to death, that's hard to say. But using Unforgivable Curses will definitely get them locked up for life." Cedric picked up a knife from the table and peeled an apple, then cut it into small pieces and placed them on a plate. After taking a piece and biting into it, he pushed the plate over to Truman. "What are you planning to do next? I suggest you vanish into thin air for now."
"Resign?"
Truman understood what Cedric meant.
It really was the best choice.
After all, he had already been targeted by the Death Eaters. If he did not hide now, they would probably come after him again. He might not be so lucky next time.
"What about you? What are you planning to do?" Truman asked in return.
Cedric had already given up his promising job at the Ministry of Magic and gone into hiding because of the Death Eaters.
"Albert said that once this Wizarding War
