Narcissa was far too selfish. Nearly all her thoughts were focused on her own family.

According to Draco's information, today was Horace Slughorn's birthday. Narcissa would use delivering a birthday present to Slughorn as an excuse to approach him, then take the opportunity to request to buy Felix Felicis.
