Albert's disappearance drew no one's attention.
Or rather, no one had known Albert's whereabouts from the very beginning, let alone noticed when he suddenly left Britain and vanished without a trace.
So his worries and concerns had been unnecessary from the start.
However, because of him, certain unlucky ones had inadvertently fallen into the Deep Pit and were now unable to climb back out.
That Unlucky one was Lucius Malfoy, who had recently received the task of finding and murdering Albert.
If he had been unable to find the man from the start, no one would have said much. After all, if Lucius could not even find him, what else could he do? There would have been no point discussing the follow-up task.
But the problem now was that Lucius had just learned from Yaxley that Albert's child was about to be born. He had also been handed the crucial leads of Mrs. Dale and Mrs. Mary. Yaxley had even helped devise a plan to teach that Mudblood an unforgettable lesson. All Lucius had to do now was carry out the original plan.
But would things really go so smoothly? In Lucius Malfoy's eyes, this was nothing but a huge pit.
Leaving aside the fact that his relationship with Yaxley was merely ordinary, why would the man be kind enough to share intelligence he had painstakingly gathered? Lucius would not have dared dream of it.
The reason Yaxley had done so was obviously because he had realized this was a huge pit and had tossed the hottest potato straight at him.
Now, never mind taking a bite out of that hot potato—he would be lucky not to choke to death on it.
Worse still, the Dark Lord had officially handed the burden of dealing with Albert to father and son.
