Hagrid ultimately could not be persuaded. Harry, Hermione, and Ron were all rather helpless about it. They all thought Sirius was right, but since Hagrid himself was unwilling, there was little they could say.
That evening, Hermione went to Harry and Ron's dormitory to discuss the next day's plans and, incidentally, help them check whether they had packed everything.

Harry ignored Ron and continued, "We also need to go to Hogwarts. We need the Sword of Gryffindor, or Basilisk venom, so we can destroy it once we find that thing."
"That's extremely risky, isn't it?"
Hermione was equally unwilling to see Harry go to Hogwarts.
