"What exactly did Anderson want?"

If any students had been here, they would definitely have been shocked. Hogwarts' new headmaster, the notorious Old Bat, Severus Snape, was actually... actually listening to the Wizard Lookout Station's daily broadcast. He was even discussing its contents with Dumbledore's portrait on the office wall. It was completely at odds with the image they had of the Old Bat.

Dumbledore's portrait kept its eyes shut and did not answer the new headmaster's question, as though it really were nothing more than a painting.

"The situation is terrible right now. The Death Eaters suffered heavy losses in Hogsmeade, and that same day Harry Potter led people in breaking into Azkaban and taking every prisoner away. This string of events has thoroughly enraged the Dark Lord. You know it too—whenever anything happens now, they immediately think of Albert Anderson."

Snape switched off the radio and continued chattering to the portrait on the wall. He had his own view of the situation, but the way things were developing was becoming increasingly difficult for him to understand. It forced Snape to spend time seeking Dumbledore's advice, to find out what that man truly wanted, lest he accidentally fall into a trap himself.

"Anderson has gone into hiding. The Death Eaters can't find where he's hiding, and there's nothing they can do to him."

Seeing that Dumbledore's portrait still did not respond, Snape could only continue on his own. "The Death Eaters are nearly mad now. They're frantically searching for Anderson, dreaming of killing him. To force him out, many Death Eaters have begun rounding up anyone connected to him in the British magical world and using despicable means."

"Have all their brains been caught in a door?"

The old wizard with the red nose in the nearby portrait muttered.
