Isobel had just finished washing her hair when she heard the door open outside the bathroom. She grabbed a towel from nearby and dried her hair, then pushed open the half-closed door and stepped out, bumping right into Albert as he returned to the room. She walked over, kissed his cheek, and asked with a smile, "Darling, has something good happened lately?"

"No good news, but plenty of bad news."

Albert took the towel from Isobel, patted the armchair beside him to indicate that she should sit down, then began drying her hair for her.

"Bad news?"

"Word came from the Order of the Phoenix that the British magical world is a complete mess now because of the Dark wizards."

"You seem rather pleased to see it."

Isobel studied her husband's expression through the mirror. She felt that Albert was pleased with the current situation.

"It isn't about whether I'm pleased or not. This was bound to happen sooner or later," Albert said softly. "The conflict between Lord Voldemort and ordinary wizards is severe. It was only a matter of time before the two sides clashed."

"The problem is that not everyone likes war. There must be many people trying to remain neutral."

Isobel knew this had something to do with Albert. He had led many young wizards in forming the Defence Association to resist Lord Voldemort, teaching them how to fight Dark wizards. The Defence Association had now grown powerful enough to threaten Lord Voldemort.

"To be honest, I rather despise those people trying to remain neutral. Things have already reached this point, yet they neither flee nor pick a side. There's clearly something wrong with their heads." Albert's tone was full of contempt and disdain. "Fortunately, cruel reality has taught them a lesson."
