Chapter 1601: War Without Victors (51)
"You've been so busy lately that you can't even spare time to be with me." Hermione spread her arms and gave Albert a kiss.
She really couldn't be blamed. As long as Albert used the Time-Turner, he could always squeeze out a few hours each day. Yet ever since the day they returned to Britain from Australia, the two of them had not been intimate again.
For a girl who had just tasted the forbidden fruit, it was simply agonizing torture.
Especially when he was right beside her, yet she had to pretend they were ordinary friends, keeping her distance from her lover without letting anyone notice anything unusual.
"There's nothing we can do about it. We don't have much time when we're both free." Feeling the girl nestle into his arms, Albert spouted shameless nonsense. "And we need to be especially careful not to let anyone know or suspect our relationship."
"You can always find countless excuses!"
Hermione did not want to keep discussing the matter with Albert, so she simply sealed his lips. Enraptured, she savored that sweet, intoxicating feeling of first love.
"Sometimes, I even wonder if I've gone mad!"
After they parted, Hermione could not help complaining, "Do you know how hard it is to disguise yourself without letting anyone discover it?"
"You're just in love!"
Having been in love before, Albert had naturally gone through something similar. He knew perfectly well what Hermione was going through.
Men and women in the throes of love were all like that.
Albert and Isobel had experienced something similar. Back then, they had kept in touch through Communication Bookmarks and often went on dates, so it had not been especially obvious.
Hermione's passionate love manifested itself in another way. They soon changed locations.
