Unlike the tense Aurors, Kingsley, the target of the attack, remained remarkably calm. At that moment, the temporary Minister was drinking coffee as he recounted the earlier attack to the young man who had just taken a seat across from him.

"So, you want me to use Divination to find the werewolf that ambushed your home?" Albert understood why the man had asked to meet him.

"Yes, it has vanished."

"Vanished?"

"Werewolves aren't hard to find at this time, but the Aurors searched everywhere and still couldn't find the other werewolf that escaped. I think there's something strange about this." Kingsley pushed a letter toward Albert. "This is your payment."

"You should know perfectly well that even if you catch that werewolf, you probably won't get any useful information out of it."

Albert did not look at the envelope before him. Honestly, being summoned by Kingsley at a time like this to discuss such "unimportant" matters had put him in a rather poor mood.

They both knew that the matter was surely connected to those "pure-blood" wizards who had once supported Voldemort. Most likely, they had orchestrated it to target Kingsley.

"Of course I know that, but..." Kingsley hesitated briefly. "I just want to know whether they meant to warn me or kill me."

"Is there a difference? It doesn't seem like there is. If you ask me, this was just a casual move." Albert set down his coffee cup. After looking the man across from him in the eye, he understood what he was worried about.

"There is some difference." Kingsley sighed and said seriously, "If this isn't an isolated case, I'm afraid I'll be in serious trouble next."

"You're worried those people are secretly creating werewolves in large numbers? That really does sound like something they would do."
