Hogwarts' new student intake day was also Albert's first official job since graduating from school.
Why call it his first job?
Albert had not taken a single Galleon for serving as Kingsley's Senior Advisor.
That was probably why Professor McGonagall had learned from Kingsley's mistake and practically stuffed Galleons into Albert's pockets, hoping he would take teaching the students seriously this term instead of treating it like his role as Senior Advisor—merely holding the title and teaching only when he felt like it.
Kingsley could hardly complain. After all, Albert had not taken a single Knut from him, and the title itself had been Kingsley's own request. What was there to be dissatisfied about? It was already good enough that Albert was willing to hold a title under him.

Still, being unable to Apparate within Hogwarts was indeed rather inconvenient for him. Having House-elves ferry him back and forth every day was not a solution either.
Should he ask Professor McGonagall to quietly make an exception for him? Honestly, Albert doubted whether Professor McGonagall could use her authority as Headmistress to grant him special privileges the way Dumbledore had.
Even if she could, it would not be a
