"This is an interesting job," Isobel had said.
Albert did not yet know exactly how interesting it was, but the first half of the Defence Against the Dark Arts Guide was nearly complete. Most of his energy had to be devoted to it lately, leaving him no time to focus on anything else.
Still, Albert was happy for Isobel. Looking after young Alice was rather dull and tedious. Life needed a little seasoning, and finding something interesting to do was always a good thing.

Hermione sprang up from her seat, looking as though she might toss the stack of manuscript pages before her into the air and celebrate their months of work with a shower of paper.

Cedric rose from his chair as well and stretched lazily, relaxing his body. These past few days, he had not only needed to teach classes and grade assignments, but also come here to help check and proofread the final manuscript. He had been run ragged.

After placing the complete manuscript into a document pouch and using a spell to make himself a spare copy, Albert planned to deliver it personally the next day.
Sending it by owl was certainly possible, but it was the result of everyone's hard work. Albert thought it was best to play it safe, even if he would be keeping the original copy.
