"Even Death Eaters would probably bow their proud heads in shame at that killing efficiency!"
As Albert took a moment to cross names off the Revenge List, he could not help marveling at the terrifying power of hatred. Nelson and his group were merely ordinary wizards, without Albert's overwhelming strength, yet when it came to "cleaning up" Death Eaters, they had far surpassed him.
One could imagine how much preparation and effort Nelson's group had put into tonight's revenge operation. They had likely used extraordinary methods during the "cleanup."
As for Nelson, consumed by hatred, casually crossing off names from the Revenge List just to make up numbers?
Albert considered that extremely unlikely. A man willing to risk his life completely for revenge obviously would not do such a thing.
Otherwise, what meaning would there be in risking his life for it?
Sigh! I still underestimated the power of hatred.
If I'd known, I should have secretly swapped out the Revenge List in Nelson's hands when we first met.
But it was too late to say that now! Looks like I should pick up the pace a little too. Being too hasty might mean overlooking some of the hidden wealth of the Pure-bloods, but since he had already stepped in personally, he ought to seize this rare opportunity to clear away every troublesome person.
That also meant a great slaughter tonight, and many deeply guilty Pure-bloods would die. But what did that have to do with Albert, who was traveling around the world on the other side of the globe?
Would too many dead Pure-bloods cause unrest in the British magical world? That did not matter either. He could leave the Ministry of Magic to clean up the mess afterward; it was the very outcome Kingsley wanted to see.
