Alice had never been to King's Cross Station in London, nor had she ever had the chance to see Platform 9 3/4 with her own eyes. But since childhood, she had read the unpublished Hogwarts Memoirs compiled by Albert, and she knew exactly what that platform meant to most first-year students. She also understood why Miss Hermione had not simply used the easier, more convenient method of Apparition to take the three of them directly to Platform 9 3/4.

So Alice was somewhat looking forward to passing through the barrier between Platforms 9 and 10. As Albert put it, some things had to be experienced firsthand, or else they always felt as though something was missing.

The next day, Alice got up early. After quickly finishing the breakfast prepared by the House-elf, she brought along the equally excited Ian and Sophia and rode in Albert's specially modified car to King's Cross Station without a hitch.

"We have to pass through the wall, but we can't let the nearby Muggles notice," Hermione told the three beside her as they made their way toward Platform 9 3/4.

"But what if someone sees us... I mean, we can't guarantee that everyone will be so careful, can we?" Ian voiced the doubt in his heart. They all knew that no matter how careful they were, mistakes could still happen.

"During the start-of-term period every year, Ministry of Magic employees are on duty. They'll handle all kinds of accidents, but we shouldn't cause them trouble." Hermione deliberately lowered her voice.

"If that's the case, why not use a Disillusionment Charm?" Sophia was even more confused.

"For you, this is also a special experience."

After making sure no one was nearby, Hermione gave Alice a gentle push. Alice immediately pushed her luggage cart and broke into
