Having been woken up by Bard in the middle of the night, Albert was not in great spirits that morning. Covering a yawn with his hand, he leisurely flipped through The Daily Prophet.
After Ithius personally tested the bottle of Felix Felicis last night, it had been proven harmless. He had also successfully received the final payment of 1,000 gold coins from The Daily Prophet. Including the initial two hundred gold coins, Albert received six hundred gold coins, a bottle of Felix Felicis good for roughly two days, and completed a panel task along the way.
"You look rather sleepy." Diana, the tavern owner, came over to inform Albert of the gathering time. "By the way, where is Mr. Bard?"
"He should still be asleep. We talked until very late last night." Albert put down the newspaper.
"Oh, one more thing." Before turning to leave, Diana looked back and said, "After the Barnabus Finkley Outstanding Spellcasting Competition ends, there will be a small banquet for you and the judges. Please be sure to stay until the banquet is over before leaving."
Albert watched Diana's departing back and raised an eyebrow slightly. He recalled something Bard had mentioned to him.
Just then, Albert sensed someone watching him. He picked up the newspaper again as cover and discreetly glanced in a certain direction.
The special correspondent from The Daily Prophet was seated there.
Albert suddenly understood why that fellow had been secretly watching him. He was observing whether Albert showed symptoms of overdosing on Felix Felicis.
Should I tease him a little?
