Egypt, Cairo, Ouroboros Bar.

In just one day, Valeria's good mood from coming to Egypt for a vacation had completely evaporated under the scorching sun outside.

Fine.

In truth, Valeria had come to Egypt with her good friend Catherine for the International Alchemy Conference, taking the opportunity to vacation and sightsee.

They had arrived in Egypt three days ago.

When they first reached Cairo, they had gone out to visit the local attractions. After that, neither of them had left the Ouroboros Bar where they were staying.

"I hate Egypt. I hate this damned weather."

Valeria sipped the red drink in her glass, turned to look at the blazing sun outside the window, and complained to her female companion beside her. "Staying in a place like this for too long is terrible for your skin."

"Then why did you insist on coming along? Wouldn't it have been better to stay behind and watch the shop?" Catherine slowly flipped through the complimentary copy of The Finks Daily provided by the bar without looking up.

"Things are even more suffocating in the United States. There are so many rules and restrictions that I can barely breathe." Valeria had never liked the atmosphere of the American magical world. She gently patted her chest as if trying to catch her breath, then glared at her friend and complained, "Besides, how could you run off to have fun and leave me behind to work at the shop?"

"Didn't all the profits from this period go to you?"

Valeria poked at the ice in her drink with her straw and said matter-of-factly, "What do I need that money for? Wouldn't it be more comfortable to find a rich man to support me?"

"Then why did you reject Cameron so decisively last time? Isn't that guy rich?"
