Albert felt as though he had only just closed his eyes when urgent knocking outside the door woke him.

He groggily opened his eyes and instinctively reached for the wand beside the bed, muttering softly, "Bloody hell, what time is it?"

Mr. Sella had mentioned yesterday that they needed to get up early today, but surely not this early. It was still pitch-black outside the window.

He yawned again and gave his wand a light flick, causing a ball of light to float above his head. Its soft white glow immediately dispelled the darkness in the room.

"What, is it time to leave already?" Isobel asked sleepily.

The urgent knocking sounded again outside.

Albert glanced at the Peeping Mirror on the bedside cabinet. The magical alarm had not reacted, which meant there should be no danger nearby, so he called toward the door, "I'm awake. Coming down now."

Though the Peeping Mirror was highly unreliable, Albert had to admit it was still somewhat useful. At the very least, it could provide them with an early warning.

It would be even better if he could combine the Peeping Mirror's detection and warning functions with the Footprint Charm to make an early-warning radar.

Unfortunately, Albert's attainments in alchemy were limited, and he still could not make it happen. Getting magical items to perform overly precise work was sometimes quite difficult.

He stretched, threw back the thin blanket, and got out of bed. Then, covering another yawn, he began changing clothes through his drowsiness.

"What are you staring at me for?" Albert asked after getting dressed, noticing that Isobel was staring blankly at him.

"Need me to help you get changed?"

As he spoke, he casually fetched Isobel's clothes and reached out to help undress her.

"Always trying to take advantage of me."
