"We should be heading to the Quidditch Pitch. It's about time." Dumbledore snapped his pocket watch shut and beckoned Albert downstairs.
They did not speak again on the way, nor did they run into Harry Potter.
The two passed through the Entrance Hall and melted into the cloudy night, making their way across the dark lawn toward the Quidditch Pitch. At the entrance tunnel, they encountered Hermione and Ron, who had clearly accompanied Harry here.
"Good evening."
Albert smiled and greeted them.
"We came with Harry. It isn't very safe at night," Hermione said quickly, though it was unclear whether she was speaking to Albert or explaining herself to Dumbledore.
"See you later."
After entering the Quidditch Pitch, Albert found that it had been completely transformed. The field was no longer flat and smooth. Hagrid had built countless long, low walls across it, twisting and winding in every direction in a tangled maze.
Albert felt he should have taken a few photos beforehand to study the maze's layout.
"Good evening!"
A voice rang out across the pitch.
Amelia Bones approached with Krum, Fleur, and Harry.
"Good evening, Amelia."
Dumbledore greeted her. Noticing Harry's hesitant expression, he smiled and explained, "Once the Triwizard Tournament is over, the Quidditch Pitch will return to normal. Now then, I imagine you can all guess why we are here?"

"Correct!" Dumbledore explained cheerfully. "The Third Task is very simple. We will place the Triwizard Tournament trophy in the center of the maze. Whichever Champion touches it first will receive full marks."
