Chu Yulan replied, "I don't think this is a luminous pearl."
"If it can glow on its own, how can it not be a luminous pearl?" Everyone except Chu Chen looked puzzled.
Chu Yulan explained, "It's simple. A luminous pearl is like the Everfull Cup in our home. Usually, you have to turn off the lights before it gives off a hazy glow. But the light is so strong right now, and this pearl can still shine so brilliantly. It probably isn't a luminous pearl, is it?"
After hearing this, everyone thought about it and agreed. Even a treasure like the Everfull Cup needed the lights turned off before its glow could be seen. Besides, as its name suggested, a luminous pearl should only glow at night. If it could be seen shining in broad daylight, how could it be a luminous pearl?
