Although waxy-type jadeite was considered mid- to high-grade jadeite, it was honestly nothing special to Xu Youhai, who had seen plenty in his time. Under normal circumstances, unless it was especially large, he would not even give it a second glance. But its significance here was entirely different. Its appearance might well mean that a high-quality jadeite deposit lay beneath them.

Xu Youhai rubbed his eyes and found that he had not been mistaken. He hurriedly cleaned the other half as well and took a look. Sure enough, traces of waxy-type jadeite could clearly be seen on this side too. However, only a small portion of jadeite without any practical value remained here. If this had been on the market, the stone cutter would very likely have been reprimanded.

But since it was a specimen, Xu Youhai naturally did not care about the jadeite's completeness. Besides, he was too happy to worry about such things. The appearance of waxy-type jadeite meant that the sampling site might indeed contain a high-quality jadeite deposit. For him, the question of how to arrange the mining was now what needed to be considered.
