The only reason I've survived until today is because I absorbed some of the life force leaking from the array, barely clinging to life."
"Your daughter?" Luo Jun slowly floated up and indeed saw a pale-faced girl lying inside the coffin.
"I can't let you destroy this array!" the old man roared. "If my daughter dies, I'll make the whole island die with her!" Luo Jun frowned. "Then if I can save your daughter, can you dismantle this array?"
The gaunt old man froze slightly, then shook his head. "Impossible. To save her, a massive amount of life force must be poured into her all at once to completely break the curse. That was the purpose of this array when I first created it, but even the energy of every tree on this island couldn't break the curse. It could only sustain her life...
