Ch. 341Why Doesn't This Thing Hold a Grudge?

Luo Jun and Old Yuan tried to divert Mosayus from Paramis City, using Treasure Tools, lightning, and attacks on the beast's exposed core. Mosayus grew accustomed to their harassment and continued toward the city, leaving them with only eight minutes to stop it.

  • Old Yuan gave Luo Jun the Cloud Stepping Shoes and Calamity Blocking Red Rope, then used elemental power to turn the sand beneath Mosayus into quicksand.
  • Luo Jun and Old Yuan lured Mosayus away from Paramis City, but it gave up chasing them and returned to its original route.
  • Old Yuan summoned a storm and struck Mosayus with lightning, while Luo Jun dodged its attacks and charged its exposed core.
  • Luo Jun broke Mosayus's Bone Blades and struck its core, provoking the giant beast into using a powerful laser attack.
  • Luo Jun and Old Yuan repeatedly attacked Mosayus, but it eventually ignored their harassment and headed straight for Paramis City with eight minutes left on the mission timer.

Ch. 342Fatal Attraction

Luo Jun used the Ashen Urn, which carried Karruth’s aura, to draw Mosayus away from Paramis City. Old Yuan seized the urn and took over the diversion, but Mosayus’s shell cracked open after it roared, leaving its reaction unclear.

  • Luo Jun learned that neither he nor Old Yuan could defeat Mosayus because its defenses were too strong.
  • Mosayus reached Paramis City, where residents panicked as it prepared to attack.
  • Luo Jun exposed the Ashen Urn, drawing Mosayus’s attention, then fled toward the desert with it.
  • Mosayus turned away from Paramis City to pursue Luo Jun, and the residents celebrated their escape.
  • Old Yuan took the Ashen Urn from Luo Jun and flew ahead to lure Mosayus himself.
  • Mosayus roared and its shell cracked open as Luo Jun realized Old Yuan’s plan might trigger an unpredictable change.

Ch. 343Task Complete

Luo Jun watched Mosayus transform into a weapon and seemingly kill Old Yuan, but Old Yuan survived by using aura-mimicking clones. As Mosayus began moving to swallow Paramis City, Luo Jun’s mission succeeded, and an angel’s attack struck the monster.

  • Mosayus opened its shell, formed a giant cannon, and fired a blood-red beam that appeared to erase Old Yuan.
  • Old Yuan revealed that he had survived by using clones made with a Legendary Treasure Item to imitate Karruth’s lingering aura.
  • Old Yuan warned Luo Jun that Mosayus would feed on Paramis City after its transformation, while the monster destroyed the remaining clones.
  • Mosayus changed its cannon into a tooth-filled mouth and sent its tentacles toward Paramis City as Luo Jun’s mission timer ran out.
  • Luo Jun received mission success, 1,200 chips, and enough experience to reach level 45.
  • Old Yuan sensed an angel arriving from the north, and a colossal Holy Light Spear struck Mosayus.

Ch. 344Angels Descend

Yulia, the Holy See’s newest angel, drove Mosayus away from Paramis City and forced it to retreat into its shell. She then began rolling the dormant monster toward the center of the Hairub Desert.

  • A Light Spear wounded Mosayus, and Yulia’s giant Light-Winged Giant pulled the spear free and drove the monster away from Paramis City.
  • Old Yuan explained that Yulia was an Ascension Expert called an angel by the Holy See and described her power to summon the Giant of Light.
  • Mosayus fired its red beam, but Yulia’s Light Spears weakened it before her Holy Shield blocked the remaining attack.
  • Exhausted, Mosayus withdrew into its shell and tried to hide in red smoke, but the Light-Winged Giant propped up the shell and rolled it toward the desert’s center.
  • Old Yuan told Luo Jun that Ascension Experts could draw on the power of heaven and earth, and estimated that Yulia would return Mosayus to the desert’s center within two or three hours.

Ch. 345Post-Event Settlement

After Mosayus was driven back, Paramis City suffered damage while the Holy See gained unprecedented public prestige. At a meeting to settle rewards, Old Yuan requested an item to aid a breakthrough, while Luo Jun asked for a powerful sharp weapon and Old Yuan questioned whether an ordinary Divine Weapon would satisfy him.

  • Yulia drove Mosayus back into the desert, then left without appearing in Paramis City.
  • Old Yuan explained that Yulia’s late arrival was likely due to waiting for the Empress’s permission.
  • Bishop Jacob gathered the returned explorers and rescuers to review the disaster, offer thanks, and discuss compensation.
  • Jacob kept Old Yuan and Luo Jun after the others left and asked what rewards they wanted.
  • Old Yuan requested an Escort Spirit Talisman or an equivalent item, while Luo Jun asked for a Legendary-grade sharp weapon with strong armor-piercing ability.
  • Old Yuan questioned whether ordinary Divine Weapons would be good enough for Luo Jun.

Ch. 346Harvest

Luo Jun wrapped up his work in Paramis City, accepted Old Yuan’s advice to request an Honorary Bishop title, and prepared to leave [Utopia]. On his way to the Gate of Myriad Realms, he reviewed his improved attributes and new Top-Up skill.

  • Luo Jun accepted Old Yuan’s suggestion to request the Holy See’s Honorary Bishop title instead of weapons, and Jacob recorded the request for later approval.
  • Luo Jun and Old Yuan met Jin Fei and Zhuge Chi as the Zhendan explorers prepared to leave; Luo Jun declined to travel with them, and Zhuge Chi thanked him for saving their lives.
  • Luo Jun secretly said farewell to Old Yuan, kept the Calamity Blocking Red Rope, and returned the worn Cloud Stepping Shoes for repair.
  • Luo Jun met Raymond outside Paramis City, where Raymond reported that the city’s forces and Holy See knights had routed the Fanged Hounds but failed to capture Douglas.
  • Luo Jun rode south into the desert, checked his Dice of Heavenly Secrets panel, and saw that he had gained attributes and the Top-Up skill before spotting the Gate of Myriad Realms.

Ch. 347Abnormal Bloodshed

Luo Jun returned to the cave in [Utopia] and found signs that humans had stripped the bear and slaughtered animals nearby. He rode toward a burning town and arrived as bandits forced a young swordsman to fight, leaving the outcome unresolved.

  • Luo Jun found the original bear’s skeleton stripped of its hide and wondered whether someone had discovered the Gate of Myriad Realms.
  • Luo Jun decided to look for his teacher and classmates and check on the Tomb King before returning to the group.
  • Luo Jun found skinned animal carcasses outside the cave and saw smoke rising from a nearby town.
  • Luo Jun rode to the town and found it burning, its surviving residents gathered under guard by western-looking bandits.
  • The bandit leader watched a young swordsman fight a stronger bandit whose Gang Qi showed he had reached Foundation Establishment.

Ch. 348Dimensional Bandits

Luo Jun saved Fang Ming and the townspeople from Douglas and the Fanged Hounds, then burned the bandits’ bodies to conceal their origins. He agreed to escort Fang Ming and a dead guard’s body to Yunzhou City.

  • Fang Ming was captured after Douglas used his control ability to stop his sword strike and take his treasured blade.
  • Luo Jun appeared, killed Fang Ming’s opponent, identified Douglas as the Fanged Hounds’ leader, and killed him when Douglas’s control failed.
  • The Fanged Hounds fled, but Luo Jun sent his Undead Warriors after them and killed the remaining bandits.
  • Luo Jun had the bandits’ bodies burned, refused the county magistrate’s offer of hospitality, and prepared to leave in borrowed clothes.
  • Fang Ming asked Luo Jun to escort him and a dead guard’s body to Yunzhou City, and Luo Jun agreed.

Ch. 349Dominator's Necklace

Luo Jun examined the Dominator's Necklace he had taken from Douglas and hurried Fang Ming and Uncle Yan's coffin to Yunzhou City using his undead. He parted from Fang Ming at the city gates and continued on alone.

  • Luo Jun discovered that the Dominator's Necklace could bind up to three followers, strengthen them with his Vital Energy, and empower nearby allies.
  • Luo Jun and Fang Ming learned Yunzhou City was still thirty or forty li away, and Luo Jun decided not to wait until the next day.
  • Luo Jun summoned undead to pull the coffin cart and carry the donkey, reaching Yunzhou City before sunset.
  • Luo Jun told Fang Ming to enter the city without him, then left Fang Ming behind with the donkey and cart.

Ch. 350Returning Classmates

Luo Jun returned to Tongda Town after a nightlong journey and discovered that the internship group had arrived there too. After spotting his classmates at an inn, he received a note and climbed out of his room to meet whoever had sent it.

  • Luo Jun adjusted his running technique during his journey and reached Tongda Town before midnight.
  • The Cinerary Urn stirred the next morning and pointed him toward the Tomb King’s presence south of town.
  • Luo Jun followed the urn’s guidance to an inn and found Tie Jingang welcoming the returning students.
  • Ling Xin sensed someone watching the group, while Luo Jun hid among the pedestrians.
  • Luo Jun entered his private room, opened a paper ball thrown through the window, and climbed outside after reading it.

Ch. 351Wu Family Compound

Luo Jun reunited with Tomb King, helped him enter the Cinerary Urn so it could merge with the crystal, and resumed cultivating after narrowly passing Ling Xin’s test. Meanwhile, Fang Ming described the strange bandits and their masked rescuer to Wu and two Hundred Rivers Sect experts, whose questions began to connect the incident to the wider world.

  • Luo Jun met Tomb King, learned that he had ruled the Parami Empire, and watched him enter the Cinerary Urn as it began merging with the crystal.
  • Luo Jun returned to the inn, shaved with Gathering Origin Protective Qi, and passed Ling Xin’s test by gaining her trust.
  • Luo Jun cultivated and estimated that he could complete Foundation Establishment within about a year.
  • Fang Ming visited Master Wu and recounted how a masked young hero had saved him from strange, demonic bandits.
  • Hou Song and Lu Qianyun questioned Fang Ming about the bandits and their rescuer, including the faint scar on the hero’s nose.

Ch. 352Analysis

Hou Song, Lu Qianyun, and Wu Mo discussed the mysterious young man who had rescued Fang Ming and debated whether he was a Polluter or a Cultivator who had entered the [Martial World] from another world. They concluded that he had likely smuggled in using a powerful Treasure Tool and decided to investigate his whereabouts.

  • Lu Qianyun questioned Fang Ming’s account of the young man releasing dozens of dried corpses from a jar and concluded that the technique did not match Southern Borderlands corpse manipulation.
  • After Fang Ming left, Lu Qianyun suggested the young man was a Main World Cultivator using a Treasure Tool, while Hou Song raised the possibility that he was a Polluter.
  • Lu Qianyun argued that the young man’s bold actions and efforts to conceal the bandits’ origins made him unlikely to be a Polluter.
  • Lu Qianyun inferred that the young man and the bandits had arrived from another world, possibly because a travel method had failed to bring their clothes along.
  • Hou Song and Wu Mo recognized the incident’s seriousness, and Lu Qianyun said they would contact the Hundred Rivers Sect headquarters to investigate.

Ch. 353An Agreement

Luo Jun learned that while drunk, he had challenged Ling Xin to surpass her cultivation within half a year and duel her, with a humiliating forfeit if he lost. Ling Xin heard him discussing the challenge and laughed, leaving Luo Jun determined to question Tomb King about what happened.

  • Luo Jun left his room, rejoined his classmates, and ate a hearty meal with them.
  • Lu Fei asked whether Luo Jun still meant to honor something he had promised Ling Xin, and Luo Jun pretended not to remember.
  • Xu Yiming and Zhao Jian explained that Luo Jun had drunk nine bowls of Immortal's Intoxication and challenged Ling Xin to a duel within half a year.
  • The students told Luo Jun that he had promised to run around school naked while doing a handstand if he lost, and that Teacher Tie had witnessed his challenge.
  • Luo Jun saw Ling Xin laugh after she overheard the conversation and resolved to ask Tomb King what had happened.

Ch. 354Ancestral Skeleton Headband

Luo Jun kept away from his classmates while the Tomb King impersonated him, then discovered that the Cinerary Urn had transformed into the Ancestral Skeleton Headband. Its powers let him summon ancient soldiers and other powerful creatures, leaving him with a new Legendary Treasure Tool to investigate.

  • After the students arrived in Tongda Town, Luo Jun stayed in his room and pretended to recuperate so no one would discover the Tomb King had been impersonating him.
  • Luo Jun continued cultivating and fended off classmates and Tie Jingang when they came to check on him.
  • That night, Luo Jun sensed the Cinerary Urn growing unstable inside the Hundred Treasure Box and poured Vital Energy into it to keep it from collapsing.
  • The Cinerary Urn absorbed a great deal of Vital Energy before stabilizing and disappearing from its slot.
  • Luo Jun took out the new Ancestral Skeleton Headband and learned that it could summon Ancient Soldiers, Jackal Warriors, War Guardians, a High Priest, and an Ancient Empress.

Ch. 355Ancient Empress Aishiliya

Luo Jun tested the Ancestral Skeleton Headband and discovered that it could summon the Ancient High Priest and an Ancient Empress. The Empress revealed that she was Liya, Ophelia’s conjoined twin and former second personality, reborn through the power of Menehses and Karruth, and Luo Jun named her Aishiliya.

  • Luo Jun summoned upgraded Ancient Soldiers and a towering Jackal Warrior with the headband.
  • Luo Jun summoned the Ancient High Priest and learned that the Tomb King had yielded his throne to a new Empress.
  • Luo Jun summoned the Empress and recognized her as Liya, Ophelia’s sister and former second personality, whose soul had survived in his body and gained a new form.
  • Liya asked Luo Jun to keep her survival from Ophelia and explained that she and Ophelia had been conjoined twins separated at birth.
  • Luo Jun named the reborn Empress Aishiliya and named the Ancient High Priest Amunnatto, a name that meant “a drunkard making a drunken scene.”

Ch. 356The Army's Strength

Luo Jun tested his newly summoned Ancient Soldiers and watched Emperor Ailuntan defeat five hundred of them with elemental magic. Aishiliya then asked Luo Jun to summon four Honor Guards so she could demonstrate her own abilities.

  • The High Priest told Luo Jun that wine from a mountain village between Shannan Town and Tongda Town had affected his soul and explained why he had made a drunken bet with Ling Xin.
  • Luo Jun left Tongda Town and tested ordinary Ancient Soldiers, Jackal Warriors, and a crocodile-shaped Honor Guard, finding them powerful and well suited to battle.
  • Luo Jun summoned five hundred soldiers, and the High Priest used lightning, wind, fire, earth, and water magic to defeat them without leaving his position.
  • The High Priest revealed that his original name was Emperor Ailuntan, and Luo Jun allowed him to use it again.
  • Aishiliya asked Luo Jun to summon four Honor Guards as opponents for her demonstration.

Ch. 357The Sky's the Limit

Luo Jun tested Aishiliya’s transformed forms, bound her and High Priest Ailongtan with the Dominator’s Necklace, and arranged for Ailongtan to impersonate him during the internship. After evading Tie Jingang’s investigation, Luo Jun left the mountains to head toward the Northern Desert for the upcoming duel and planned to retrieve the Eternal Star in Ganzhou.

  • Luo Jun summoned four Honor Guards, and Aishiliya transformed into a yaksha and tore them apart before demonstrating her Ancient Spider Queen and Harpy forms.
  • Luo Jun used the Dominator’s Necklace to establish a link with Aishiliya and High Priest Ailongtan, allowing him to share Vital Energy and communicate with them.
  • Tie Jingang sensed a powerful disturbance, investigated the devastated forest, and found signs of elemental magic and physical combat but no clear trail.
  • Luo Jun and Ailongtan remained hidden as Tie Jingang searched, then Luo Jun instructed Ailongtan to return invisibly and impersonate him during the internship.
  • Luo Jun decided to travel to the Northern Desert for the duel between the Heaven's Gate Sect Master and the Sword Saint, stopping in Ganzhou to retrieve the Eternal Star, and left before dawn.

Ch. 358Ganzhou City

Luo Jun explored the prosperous Ganzhou City and visited the Gathering Treasure Pavilion to retrieve a treasure Gong Shiyue had stored there. He learned that the Supreme Treasure required proof as well as a number and password, but he did not know what proof to provide.

  • Luo Jun toured Ganzhou City and learned about the Gathering Treasure Pavilion’s influence and its trade route to northern nations.
  • Luo Jun tried to bargain for an imported blade, but the shopkeeper threw him out after he offered only two strings of cash.
  • Luo Jun entered the Gathering Treasure Pavilion headquarters and asked how to retrieve an item stored there.
  • A shopkeeper explained that Supreme Treasures required a number, a password, and unique proof before they could be retrieved.
  • Luo Jun realized Gong Shiyue’s four-digit number likely identified the treasure, but the shopkeeper could not tell him what proof he needed.

Ch. 359Tailing

Luo Jun investigated the Gathering Treasure Pavilion and learned that special credentials were needed to enter its treasure vault. After trying to steal a credential from a man withdrawing a supreme treasure, he was caught and questioned about what he planned to do with it.

  • Luo Jun disguised himself and observed the Gathering Treasure Pavilion, discovering that credentials were required to access its upper floors and treasure services.
  • A tall man presented a half Iron Tag as a credential and went upstairs to withdraw a supreme treasure, but returned without the item.
  • Luo Jun followed the man and tried to steal his Iron Tag, only to find he had taken a piece of broken tile instead.
  • The man revealed he had noticed Luo Jun watching him and asked whether Luo Jun knew the password to his treasure.

Ch. 360Wu Kong

Luo Jun learned that the Iron Tag Wu Kong gave him could open a corresponding safe in the Supreme Treasure Pavilion, then realized it might be the token Gong Shiyue had mentioned. Suspicious of Wu Kong’s motives and uncertain whether to pursue the treasure, Luo Jun went to a gambling house in Ganzhou City and was invited to meet its owner.

  • Wu Kong explained that each Iron Tag opened a specific Supreme Treasure Pavilion space and proposed splitting the treasure if Luo Jun broke its safe.
  • Luo Jun refused, but Wu Kong left him the Iron Tag and told him to seek him at the Guest Arriving Inn if he succeeded.
  • Luo Jun recognized the damaged Iron Tag’s inscription as matching Gong Shiyue’s message and wondered whether Wu Kong was a buyer, a Yuan Cultivation Society member, or a Polluter.
  • After inspecting the Iron Tag and deciding to proceed cautiously, Luo Jun headed east through Ganzhou City.
  • Luo Jun entered the city’s largest gambling house and, two hours later, was invited to tea in the owner’s private room.
