"Kill him!"
Luo Shan's face twisted viciously. He pointed at Jiang Ping An and roared at the surrounding guards, spittle flying with his words. "That bastard's a robber! Yesterday, he looted a merchant ship and killed more than a dozen of our brothers!"
The sea breeze caught his furious shout and carried it away.
Jiang Ping An's face flushed red. He hurriedly waved his hands in protest, his eyes full of urgency. "I'm not a robber!"
He pointed at Luo Shan, his voice trembling slightly with haste. "He attacked me out of nowhere! I suspect he works at a Luo Family shop. He found out I had some money and tried to take it!"
"Utter nonsense!"
Luo Qianqiu strode forward, his armor gleaming coldly.
His knife-sharp gaze settled on Jiang Ping An. "Brazen robber! You dare come to Feng Yu Island and run wild? You deserve death!"
Before his words had faded, he drew the black sword at his waist. The instant it left its sheath, a wisp of black energy climbed the blade. The sword was dark as ink, yet a bloodthirsty chill glinted within it.
"Die!"
Luo Qianqiu shouted and snapped his wrist. The black sword traced a strange arc in his hand, then a thirty-foot streak of black Sword Qi tore through the wind and hurtled toward Jiang Ping An with a shrill whistle.
The fierce wind parted before it.
Jiang Ping An's pupils contracted. He dropped almost on instinct, and the Sword Qi skimmed his hair. With a boom, it struck a thirty-foot reef behind him, reducing it to powder in an instant.
Jiang Ping An pushed off the ground, wheeled around like an arrow, and sped into the distance.
