All of Them Fell

As the golden eye exploded, the Moon Sea below evaporated in an instant. Golden beams swept over the immortals, reducing their bodies to ash.

The eye had most likely belonged to a Heavenly Immortal and contained immensely powerful Immortal Dao energy. Using himself as fuel, Jiang Ping An had detonated it, unleashing terrifying destructive force.

Even as they died, none of them could have imagined Jiang Ping An would turn the tables and kill them.

In truth, Jiang Ping An had not expected it either.

It could only be called a coincidence. The golden eye had not been part of his plan.

Once the explosion passed, the seawater filling the sky fell back down in a torrential downpour.

Suddenly, a streak of light flashed, and a figure appeared amid the curtain of rain.

Ye Ming floated weakly in the air, his Golden Battle Robe in tatters. He gasped for breath, blood streaming from the empty eye socket in his forehead.

A special scroll he carried had activated when his life was in danger, allowing him to escape into the void, beyond the influence of immortal Dao rules, and avoid fatal damage.

The scroll was somewhat like a spatial scroll, but far more advanced.

Without it, the exploding golden eye would already have killed him.

"That damned bastard..."

Flames of fury flickered in Ye Ming's eyes. His chest heaved, every breath heavy and hurried.

Not only had he lost the Heavenly Eye his lineage had paid an enormous price to obtain, but it had nearly blown him to death.

Had Jiang Ping An's body not vanished, he would have liked nothing better than to hack off Jiang Ping An's arm and gnaw on it raw to vent his rage.

Cold rainwater ran down Ye Ming's hate-filled face, slowly restoring his composure.
