Jiang Xia parked the car, quickly got out, and walked over. "Grandpa Jiang, I'm sorry for the trouble. I'm late."

Old Mai smiled warmly. "You're not late. We arrived early—we just got here too. Let me introduce you."

Old Mai then said to the people beside him, "This is Comrade Jiang Xia, whom I told you about."

Besides his old friend in the seafood business, the people Old Mai had brought this time included his entire family, from the elders to the children—including his adopted son's future father-in-law and his family—as well as his legal team.

He wanted to formally acknowledge his son before the New Year and hoped they could all have the New Year's Eve reunion dinner together.

"Xia Xia, this is Xu Bodong, Old Xu. You can just call him Grandpa Xu. He's been my friend for many years and came especially to see the fish in your fish cages."

Jiang Xia smiled, nodded, and bowed. "Grandpa Xu, I've long heard of you. Welcome to S City! I'm sorry for the poor reception and for making you wait so long."

Old Xu smiled and held out his hand. "Not at all. We just got through customs too. You came to pick us up in person—we're the ones troubling you! I've always heard Old Mai mention you. I finally get to meet you today!"

Jiang Xia shook his hand and joked, "Was Grandpa Jiang saying bad things about me? I said I'd treat him to a meal, but I've been saying it for ages without ever managing to do it. At last, I have the chance today!"

Old Xu burst out laughing. "Ha-ha... So that's what happened? He only ever says good things about you in front of me! He says that despite your young age, you're already
