Especially since, to avoid affecting future generations or letting Carl discover anything, Ximen Lang had to consider even more.

Things like the timing of his actions and the subsequent arrangements all had to be taken into account.

It had nearly worked Ximen Lang to death.

That was why Ximen Lang slept in the River of Time for a full 100 years before he could barely be considered recovered.

As for why Ximen Lang had insisted on sleeping in the River of Time instead of choosing the present world...

That was another pointless question.

He was going to marry all his wives in a week!

Sleep in the present world? And sleep for more than a hundred years?

Other things might be negotiable, but if he dared stand them up over this?

Wouldn't they skin him alive?

How was he supposed to live the rest of his life? Since he could sleep anywhere and wasn't picky about his bed, he might as well make do here for now.
