Leng began as a human and rose through Angel ranks through relentless training rather than inherited Angel lineage. Ruo Ning recruited her into the Angel team and later accepted her as a disciple, largely because of Leng's Frost Gene; Leng ultimately earned her standing through constant cultivation, combat, and rivalry with Yan. 16 332

For over 7,000 years, she pursued the ideal of becoming one of Keisha's wing guardians. Yan's appointment as Holy Keisha's Left Wing Guardian instead of Leng became a longstanding sore point, intensifying their competition and hostility. 10 12

Queen He Xi persuaded Leng to become Ximen Lang's Guardian Angel, exploiting both Leng's competitive nature and her dislike of Yan. Leng initially treated him as an undisciplined trainee, repeatedly overwhelming him in sparring and condemning his ambition to build a harem. 9 10 11
