There are certainly jobs in this world that require working all 365 days of the year without a break, but I imagine there can't be many of them.
A job like being a webnovel author, where taking every leave of absence comes with enormous pressure, should be even rarer.
Even the 996 wage slaves get at least four days off a month. Sometimes I really don't understand why it's so hard for people to accept a webnovel author taking a few days off each month.
Are webnovel authors not allowed to have lives of their own?
In any case, writing is just a job to me. I have a life of my own, too.
All of the above was just me venting. It's something I have to face for choosing this line of work, so it's not really worth complaining about. What I genuinely want to say is this:
My grandmother passed away last month, and I took a day off. Someone asked in the comments whether I was going to take leave next time because my parents had died.
Yesterday, I took a day off to make arrangements for my wedding next month and deal with the renovations. Someone else then questioned me in the comments, asking whether I planned to fake getting married once every month.
I know there's no point getting angry over this kind of dumbassery, but I think I'd better stop giving specific reasons whenever I take leave in the future.
I can put up with all kinds of doubts about this job, but I don't want them dragging my life and family into it.
Work is just work.
I hope everyone can understand. Thank you.
