Quan He was the Supreme Abbot of Great Cloud Luo Temple and was once regarded as the Number One Expert Under Heaven. Though over 140 years old, her restored appearance resembles that of a woman in her early twenties. Yu Hen was among the disciples who continued visiting her during her long seclusion at a sanatorium. 361 382

Yu Hen brought Yu Hong to meet her while she was still injured and unable to leave seclusion. Quan He perceived Yu Hong's mixed powers—including the Spirit Light and a trace of Spirit Calamity aura—and accepted his offer to treat her with the Spirit Light Secret Art. Yu Hong's stated wish that she suppress the Spirit Calamity and protect the world convinced her of his sincerity. 362

After recovering, Quan He independently altered the Spirit Light Secret Art to include rejuvenation. Within three days of receiving it, she had already incorporated it into her own Daoist Methods and developed new applications. 378 382
