As T'au warships, carrier craft, landing vessels, and powered armor kept clashing in outer space, exploding and eventually turning into enormous fireballs that fell into the atmosphere under the planet's gravity, the human residents settled in the city began to show signs of nervousness and concern.

What puzzled them, however, was that even as fierce fighting erupted in orbit, the New Phyrexian Creations responsible for providing all kinds of public services in the city showed no reaction whatsoever.

Not even the warning alarms went off.

Even those who actively asked whether they needed to take shelter or prepare weapons for defense received the same answer: everything was normal, and there was no need to worry.

This left the human residents, who had armed themselves and prepared to fight to the death during the Tyranid invasion, deeply confused.

But they soon discovered that wreckage falling from the sky would suddenly strike an invisible force field roughly three to five thousand meters above the ground. It would instantly explode, break apart, and turn to dust that slid off to either side. Not a single component fell within the city limits.

After all, falling wreckage was a standard low-speed target. In theory, Void Shields could not intercept it.

Yet the invisible force field blanketing the city perfectly intercepted everything falling at low speed.
