Tifanton, the northern border stronghold of the Kingdom of Cormyr on the Faerun continent, had now completely broken free from the influence of the Shadowfell and returned to the Material Plane.
More precisely, ever since Greya absorbed that ancient Artifact, the pitch-black darkness shrouding the region had rapidly dispersed, and the vast majority of Shadow Creatures had disintegrated beneath the bright, scorching sunlight.
Only a handful of powerful beings capable of withstanding sunlight, such as Shadow Dragons, Shadow King, and Greater Shadows, managed to flee into buildings or sewers and escape disaster.
But their lingering survival did not last long before the returned Dark Prince gathered them all under his control.
Before the purest darkness and void born when the Crystal Sphere containing Toril first came into being, no matter how powerful a shadow creature was, it could only tremble in silence, kneel before this young new master, and offer its submission, unable to muster even the slightest will to resist.

Since all of Tifanton had been lifted into the sky by the powerful Shadow Weave, becoming a Floating City that only Greya could control, he set up a portal on the ground connected to the Shadowfell.
This way, civilians and merchants alike only needed to pass through the Shadowfell for a few seconds to enter and leave swiftly.
