There was no doubt that Odin was absolutely not someone suited to discussing child-rearing experience.

His parenting methods could practically be classified among the worst. He was the very image of a feudal patriarch, with an especially foul temper and a severe lack of patience for communication.

One only had to look at the three children he raised to understand this.

His eldest daughter, Hela, the Goddess of Death, possessed a cold, cruel, bloodthirsty nature that was essentially a replica of Odin himself in his prime.

Perhaps because he found her useful, he never had any intention of correcting her, and she gradually became an out-and-out tyrant.

By the time Odin decided to lead Asgard down another path, he discovered that his daughter could no longer be corrected. He could only painfully sacrifice her in exchange for the entire race's chance to recuperate.

It could be said that Hela's tragedy had been caused entirely by her father.

Loki, on the other hand, had been given too many unrealistic hopes, leading him to develop thoughts he should never have had: that he, too, was qualified to inherit the throne.

Coupled with Thor's long-standing behavior, which truly did not resemble that of a qualified ruler, Loki had always yearned for an opportunity to prove himself. In the end, it sparked a palace coup between brothers.

If Odin had not deliberately concealed the truth while showing such blatant favoritism, all of these tragedies could have been avoided. Loki might even have been deeply grateful to him and sworn to loyally assist his brother in securing the throne, becoming a fine tale for the ages.

But what happened instead?
