Ch. 342Introducing the Weave

Raymond brought thirty specialists into magically enhanced clone bodies and extended Faerûn’s Weave across the Floating City, where Mystra repaired a Mythallar and gave him a concept for a permanent time-reversal spell. He then inspected the city’s research and saw Ludewi unveil a monstrous Undead creation and plans for an automated Undead factory.

  • Thirty specialists awoke in young, powerful clone bodies, and the Mind Flayer escorted them to wash and eat while Dr. White asked when Soros would meet them.
  • Raymond opened a permanent portal to Faerûn and used Silver Fire to extend the Weave throughout the Floating City; Mystra arrived and repaired the Mythallar.
  • Raymond asked Mystra how to make Millennium Reversal permanent, and she gave him a spell concept involving severing an individual’s timeline before departing to prepare for Cyric’s schemes.
  • Talanthyr told Raymond that Gisa had become an Undead worker and that Ludewi was obsessively studying Necromancy, then led him to Ludewi’s laboratory.
  • Ludewi activated a stitched-together Undead made from dragon, troll, giant, and other corpses, then showed Raymond and Talanthyr plans for a factory producing thousands of Undead each day.

Ch. 343Welcome to My Floating City (Happy New Year's Eve, Everyone)

Raymond prepared Plantia Floating City for cross-dimensional conflict, ordered Talanthyr and Vanessa to locate rival Floating Cities, and sent the Phoenix to Herl to establish a faith under the name Bennu. He introduced thirty experts from Earth to their magically enhanced bodies and new research duties, then showed them their home was a city floating in the sky.

  • Raymond explained to Talanthyr why Ludewi's cheap Corpse-Inlaid army would complement elite Constructs in future cross-dimensional wars.
  • Raymond ordered Talanthyr and Vanessa to find every other Floating City within three months, especially Horathis Floating City.
  • Raymond learned that the Phoenix could send power into this world through their Land Card connection, and the Phoenix named himself Bennu and flew to Herl to seek believers.
  • Raymond showed thirty senior experts that their new bodies combined human, Drow, dragon, and Troll traits, then demonstrated magical energies and assigned them research and administrative work.
  • Raymond opened a portal to a biological laboratory and warned the experts not to reveal the truth to incoming players.
  • Raymond led the experts outside and revealed that they were aboard Plantia Floating City, astonishing McCas, Dr. White, and the others.

Ch. 344Irenicus returned (Happy New Year, and may all your wishes come true)

Raymond expanded his plans for training Earth specialists and preparing the Fourth Calamity while learning that Irenicus had returned with five captured fire genies. Raymond went to meet him with Bodhi and Vermees, while Shaan VII arrived seeking an alliance against Sharpfangs.

  • The thirty Earth specialists learned cantrips within a week, and Raymond told Vanessa to prepare academies for future recruits.
  • Raymond explained to Bol that ordinary modern weapons were weakened by magical energy and suggested developing simpler alchemical weapons instead.
  • Raymond described plans for Infinite City and a second batch of fifteen hundred souls before teleporting to check on the other Isadoras.
  • Bodhi told Raymond that Irenicus had returned with five magic-sealing bottles and seemed more powerful than before.
  • Raymond brought Bodhi and Vermees through a secret passage to meet Irenicus, while Shaan VII arrived to propose a joint attack on Sharpfangs.

Ch. 345Heroic Spirits

Raymond confronted Irenicus over the stolen Atropal, but Irenicus attacked to claim the Godling and unleashed Heroic Spirits against Raymond’s group. Vermees battled the warriors with help from the Oddity as Raymond and Irenicus prepared to continue their fight, ending with Irenicus activating a crimson magic circle.

  • Irenicus blamed Raymond for the destruction of his base and demanded to know who had masterminded the demon invasion.
  • Raymond named Shar as the culprit and revealed that he had the Atropal sealed in a scroll.
  • Irenicus tried to seize the scroll and attacked Raymond with Disintegrate, but Raymond’s immunity nullified the spell.
  • Irenicus summoned Heroic Spirits and sealed off teleportation, prompting Raymond to unleash Fiendfyre and Vermees to transform into her Dragon form.
  • Vermees and the Oddity fought the Heroic Spirits, killing several as the battle engulfed the room in flames.
  • Irenicus activated an unknown spell or item, and a massive crimson magic circle appeared behind him.

Ch. 346Spark Link

Raymond defeated Irenicus’s summoned forces, absorbed Fire Elemental Prince Rizalir with his newly awakened Spark, and drove Irenicus to flee. Afterward, Raymond discovered his Spark had awakened at level 11 and gained the irreversible Spark Link ability, leaving him uncertain about its risks and origins.

  • Irenicus freed Fire Elemental Prince Rizalir, whose crimson flames destroyed the Heroic Spirits and much of the sewer while Raymond survived behind protective spells.
  • Raymond revealed that his Divine Power Shock Scepter was fully recharged, prompting Irenicus to abandon his plan and lift the barrier that had blocked summoning magic.
  • Rizalir summoned the Crimson Flame Legion, but Raymond unleashed thousands of stored frost spells through the portals, devastating the legion and freezing part of the Elemental Plane of Fire.
  • Raymond absorbed energy from the battle, rose to Planeswalker level 11, and lost control of his Spark, which drained Rizalir and left only a ruby-like fragment.
  • Raymond grabbed Irenicus as he tried to teleport away, but Irenicus escaped, leaving behind the mask that concealed his aging appearance.
  • Raymond examined his Legacy and discovered that his Spark had awakened with the irreversible Spark Link ability, then wondered how the ability worked and where it came from.

Ch. 347Vessel of Greed

Raymond created the Vessel of Greed, a reusable card that granted Wishes, and used it to increase his attributes after Irenicus escaped the City of Brass under a crushing debt to the Sultan. He kept Irenicus under surveillance, healed Vermees, turned the Heroic Spirit statues into a card, and examined Irenicus’s soul-bound mask.

  • Irenicus told a fire genie Pasha that Soros had killed Rizalir and destroyed a Fire Elemental legion, then accepted responsibility for losing the Sultan’s artifacts and left the City of Brass.
  • A Pit Fiend told the Pasha that Asmodeus wanted Soros in Baator because his soul might create a new layer of the Nine Hells, and the Pasha went to report the offer to the Sultan.
  • Raymond activated the Vessel of Greed and wished for increased Intelligence, Perception, and Agility, then ordered Bodhi to resume spying on Irenicus.
  • Raymond healed Vermees after she was badly wounded, while she asked for a Wish and declined to take the Heroic Spirit statues.
  • Raymond converted the twenty-four Heroic Spirit statues into an LV9 Red Treasure Card and examined Irenicus’s mask, discovering its powerful spells and exclusive soul-binding enchantment.

Ch. 348The formidable Sharpfangs

Raymond met Shaan VII, who proposed an alliance to destroy Iryklathagra “Sharpfangs” and the Twisted Rune. They planned to provoke Sharpfangs by stealing her tax revenue, while Raymond sought divine approval and secured Shaan VII’s promise to abolish slavery if he reclaimed Calimshan.

  • Raymond discovered Shaan VII waiting at the Wizard’s Tower in his original elderly Calishite form, and learned that he wanted revenge on Sharpfangs.
  • Shaan VII proposed ambushing Sharpfangs in Calimport, but Raymond warned that the Twisted Rune and the gods could intervene and suggested stealing her tax money to provoke a conflict with the Rune Lords.
  • Raymond revealed that he had mastered dragon-devouring magic and insisted that Sharpfangs must die by his hand; Shaan VII shared intelligence detailing her extraordinary spells, treasures, and abilities.
  • Raymond agreed to speak with Ilmater and help with the plan if Shaan VII publicly abolished slavery after reclaiming Calimshan; Shaan VII promised him influence over Amn and discussed a possible future empire.
  • Shaan VII said they would act in three days, when Sharpfangs left her lair, and Raymond set out to visit Ilmater’s temple before speaking with Talona.

Ch. 349The Goddess's Reward

Raymond secured Ilmater’s support for Shaan VII’s return to power in Calimshan by promising the end of slavery, then received powerful rewards from Talona for giving her the Spore Divine Portfolio. The chapter ended with Talona tormenting the captured soul of Angel Poisoncore.

  • Glory and the poor believers shared their soup, and Ilmater rewarded the priest by raising his cleric level.
  • Raymond told Ilmater that Shaan VII planned to reclaim Calimshan and abolish slavery, and Ilmater agreed that his church and the God of Justice’s church would support him.
  • Talona raised Raymond’s cleric level by ten, granted him powerful Divine Magic, and gave him the spell Summon Talona’s Avatar.
  • Raymond gave Talona the Spore Divine Portfolio, which she recognized as a path toward Greater Divine Power and control over fungal faith.
  • Talona seized Raymond in a teasing embrace, then used Talona’s Favor to release Angel Poisoncore’s soul and cursed him with endless torment.

Ch. 350A New Prestige Class: Rainbow Servant

Raymond gained Talona’s Favor, empowered by Angel Poisoncore’s tormented soul, and learned that Cyric was preparing a dangerous Artifact. As Davian grew stronger for an upcoming battle with Iryklathagra, Oghma warned Raymond that the Bhaalspawn crisis and Bane’s possible return were approaching, then taught him about the Rainbow Servant prestige class and helped him plan new magical headgear.

  • Talona turned Angel Poisoncore into a Soul Stone, added his Soul Borer curse and Druid powers to her scepter, and gave Talona’s Favor to Raymond.
  • Raymond warned Talona that Cyric was creating a book capable of turning mortals and gods against other deities, and they agreed to wait for a chance to oppose him.
  • Raymond upgraded Davian with a Fire Elemental Prince Core, then sent him to hunt monsters and gain strength before their planned fight against Iryklathagra.
  • Raymond struggled to reproduce the magic in Irenicus’s Mask until Oghma suggested combining magical components with his Planeswalker power.
  • Oghma told Raymond that the Bhaalspawn were hunting one another, Bane’s influence was growing, and major upheavals could begin soon.
  • Oghma taught Raymond about Silver Scholar and Rainbow Servant, and Raymond chose Rainbow Servant before beginning to craft a gemstone-studded circlet.

Ch. 351The Ascendant Dragon

Alustriel and Vera Malandis investigated a powerful Lawful Neutral Flame Red Dragon and planned to meet Raymond, while Davian returned from his hunt stronger and brought Raymond a Polar Bear cub. Raymond completed a Quasi-Artifact crown for the coming battle against Sharpfangs, as Shaan VII repaired Calimport’s palace barrier and entered its treasury.

  • Vera Malandis showed Alustriel the Flame Red Dragon’s slaughter of Monsters, reported that he had killed hundreds of thousands across Faerûn, and identified him as Lawful Neutral.
  • Alustriel told Vera that Soros had apparently killed a New God and invited her to visit Neverwinter and Luskan.
  • Davian reached LV25, gained Dragon Ascendant, transformed into a more powerful form, and brought a Polar Bear cub back to Raymond.
  • Raymond accepted the cub as a future Animal Companion and revealed the Crown of Spell Storing, which he planned to use against Sharpfangs.
  • Shaan VII repaired the barrier beneath Calimport’s palace, then entered its treasury, where Ghosts and Mummies recognized and bowed to him.

Ch. 352Stoking War

Iryklathagra fought the Twisted Rune with Super Breath Potions, but Shaan VII arrived with an army and trapped everyone inside a powerful barrier. Rain and Shelassa joined Shaan VII’s side as he began his campaign to defeat the Rune Lords and reclaim Calimshan, while Davian grappled with Iryklathagra.

  • Iryklathagra used a Super Breath Potion to freeze the Blue Dragon Bane and then used Dispel Breath to strip away the Twisted Rune’s defenses before attacking its followers.
  • Rain persuaded Shelassa to abandon the Twisted Rune and revealed that she served Soros, while Iryklathagra and the Rune Lords fought to a stalemate.
  • Shaan VII appeared with his undead army and a barrier that prevented escape, then declared his intention to reclaim Calimshan.
  • Shaan VII’s barrier teleported Iryklathagra into the death knights’ charge, and she accidentally struck several Rune Lords with her Flame Breath.
  • Ragon and Iryklathagra agreed to ally against Shaan VII, but Davian transformed into a Red Dragon and tackled Iryklathagra to keep her occupied.
  • Rain and Shelassa prepared to fight the Twisted Rune as Shaan VII and his simulacrums began casting spells, while Davian pinned Iryklathagra beneath his greater strength and flames.

Ch. 354Powerful Equipment Made for Dragons

  • Iryklathagra gained the upper hand against Davian, but Raymond’s surprise strike activated one of her Life Gems and revealed that she wore them.
  • Raymond found Rain’s Phylactery and Ragon’s in a hidden Demiplane, then looted it and destroyed the Twisted Rune’s undefended lairs.

Ch. 355The Twisted Rune Family Portrait (Extra-Long Chapter)

Raymond forced the Twisted Rune’s surviving members to surrender their phylacteries and used his Spark to turn the organization into a Creature Card that summoned them as servants. He then joined Shaan VII’s battle against Iryklathagra, helping destroy her magical gear and Life Gems with a barrage of Mordenkainen’s Disjunctions.

  • Raymond revealed that Rain had spied for him and that the gods supported his plan to bring down the Twisted Rune, prompting Ragon, Kaltak Spailser, and Sapphiraktar to submit.
  • Raymond threatened Ragon, beheaded the resisting illithilich, and used Silver Fire to make Lakaishike reveal his phylactery’s hiding place.

Ch. 356Have You Ever Been Bombarded by Hundreds of Magic Missiles?

Raymond, Shaan VII, and Davian fought Iryklathagra amid devastating magic that ravaged the Royal Palace and threatened Calimport. After the dragon used the Shaan Scepter and other artifacts to recover, Raymond trapped her and unleashed a storm of stored Magic Missiles, leaving her battered and out of resources.

  • Raymond explained the Time Copy Spell to Shaan VII, then bombarded Iryklathagra with magic while Davian kept her occupied.
  • Iryklathagra used Displacement to try to kill Raymond, but his True Seeing and Nondetection thwarted her, and Raymond’s Roiling Earth and Falling Meteor sent her and Davian crashing into lava.
  • Aisha, Calimport’s Wizard’s Tower owners, and the churches helped contain the lava and rescue residents as the battle continued.
  • Shaan VII struck Iryklathagra with his Death Orb and cursed her with the souls of a hundred blue dragons, but she used the Shaan Scepter, a genie’s wishes, and the Basaros Lens to restore herself.
  • Raymond prevented Iryklathagra from teleporting away, baited her into casting Energy Immunity—Fire, and unleashed hundreds of stored Magic Missiles after dispelling her Shield.
  • Iryklathagra exhausted her spell slots and the Shaan Scepter’s energy while Raymond’s missile barrages battered her into cries of pain and despair.

Ch. 357Please Turn into Nourishment

Ch. 358Trust Me, You’ll Grow to Like Them

Shaan VII restored order in Calimport and faced resistance after abolishing slavery, while Raymond advised him to crush the old ruling class and enlist Tyr’s church for law enforcement. Shaan VII named Ayesha his heir and arranged her future marriage to Raymond; then he sent Davian to help Aipuke confront the Thieves’ Guilds, whose assassins attacked them.

  • Shaan VII took control of Calimport, suppressed gangs and rival elites, and abolished slavery, provoking nobles, merchants, and Thieves’ Guilds to resist.

Ch. 359Miracle

Davian returned to Calimport, captured Jarlaxle, Entreri, and their companions, and led a purge of the city’s Thieves’ Guilds. Meanwhile, Shaan VII granted the churches of Tyr, Ilmater, and Torm law-enforcement authority, and their followers joined the army’s assault on the slave-owning rebels, advancing under a divine miracle.

  • The City Guard and Imperial Guard advanced on the rebels, and the churches’ allied force charged their flank as Tyr, Ilmater, and Torm sent down shafts of holy light.

Ch. 360Become the Closest of Allies

Shaan VII’s forces crushed the Calimport rebellion while Raymond advised him on balancing the power of the churches. After Raymond revealed his Planeswalker Spark and offered Shaan VII one in exchange for his phylactery, his help, and permanent exile from Toril, Shaan VII accepted, making them allies.

  • The Paladins, Shaan VII’s troops, and the guards broke the rebel coalition, rescued enslaved people, and began confiscating the rebels’ estates and property.
  • Raymond advised Shaan VII to balance the churches by supporting useful faiths and restraining those that threatened his rule.
  • Aipuke presented the captured Thieves’ Guild leaders and supplies, while Davian brought Jarlaxle, Artemis Entreri, and Anya Trukai to Raymond as captives.

  • Shaan VII agreed to receive a Spark and become Raymond’s ally, provided he could first unite Calimshan and Tethyr; he promised to leave Toril and entrust Raymond with his phylactery.

Ch. 361"Rich Enough to Rival a Nation" Was an Insult

Raymond and Shaan VII strengthened their alliance as Shaan VII restored order in Calimshan, abolished slavery, and rewarded his supporters. After reviewing Sharpfangs’ enormous hoard and preparing for a diplomatic meeting in Luskan, Raymond left to retrieve Crenshinibon while Ayesha Shaan watched him from afar.

  • Shaan VII shared several powerful Epic Spells with Raymond, and Raymond exchanged knowledge from other worlds that deepened Shaan VII’s desire to become a Planeswalker.
