Ch. 362Only the Worthy May Claim the Artifact

Raymond defeated Hephaestus and fused him with Crenshinibon and the Diary to create the Creature Card Your Other Half, intending to use it in a future Floating City experiment. Back in Athkatla, he ordered Habasar Drin to build a Worg Legion and began sparring with Vermees after revealing his Blue Dragon form.

  • Raymond entered Hephaestus's lair, defeated the blind Red Dragon, and took Crenshinibon and the treasures.
  • Raymond fused Hephaestus and Crenshinibon into the Lord of the Underworld card, then made the Diary its primary consciousness and renamed the result Your Other Half.
  • Raymond returned to Athkatla, where Habasar Drin reported that he had created Worgs capable of retaining their sanity during transformation.
  • Raymond ordered Habasar Drin to breed and train an elite Worg Legion and capture Orcs, Hobgoblins, Bugbears, Gnolls, and Trolls for the project.
  • Habasar Drin reported that the organization's leased territories and strongholds were profitable and operating smoothly, and Raymond praised his work.
  • Vermees nearly tried to seize Raymond's Supreme Amulet, but the Oddity restored her composure; Raymond then transformed into a Blue Dragon and pinned her down to begin sparring.

Ch. 363Absurd

Raymond defeated Vermees, healed her, and rejected her offer to become his mate before leaving to handle affairs across his territory. At the Floating City, he discovered a gigantic electromagnetic cannon built by Bol and joined a meeting to discuss research and plans for restarting civilization with the coming players.

  • Raymond overwhelmed Vermees in dragon form, and the Red Dragon realized she needed to develop her innate spellcasting if she hoped to become a dragon king.
  • Raymond healed Vermees, rejected her advances, and ordered her to gather the stored Dragon Eggs and Half-Dragon hatchlings for him to take.
  • Raymond prepared supplies and helped aspiring members make their Phylacteries while the Arcane Mysteries Society maintained its influence across his territory.
  • Raymond arrived at the Floating City and learned from Bol that the new electromagnetic cannons could launch payloads hundreds of tons in weight over hundreds or even thousands of kilometers.
  • Raymond suggested using the cannons to transport people and supplies, invited Bol to join the coming players, and attended a Central Tower meeting about research and restarting civilization.

Ch. 364The Madwoman Nahiri

Raymond oversaw Plantia Floating City's preparations to build a new civilization, then returned to Zendikar, where he encountered Nahiri and fought her to establish their relationship as allies. After Raymond won their spar, Nahiri asked what he had come to Zendikar for, but the chapter ended with her behaving increasingly erratically.

  • Ludewi, Dr. White, and David proposed mass-producing Corpse-Inlaid Giants, while Dr. White, Isadora, and the mind flayers developed a way to preserve players' levels by transferring life and magical energy between bodies.
  • Vanessa reported that Isadora and the other mind flayers had relocated nearly a hundred thousand people, and Raymond ordered her to absorb the rest of the continent's population and educate its children.
  • Raymond left the Toril universe, and the avatars of Tempus and Talos entered the Dark Void before an unknown force destroyed them.
  • Raymond woke on one of Nahiri's rune-covered stone constructs, and she teased him before demanding to know what he and Sorin had discussed.
  • Nahiri challenged Raymond to a sword fight, and Raymond used Time Acceleration to shatter her Hedron swords and win.
  • Nahiri accepted Raymond as an ally against Nicol Bolas, then asked why he had come to Zendikar and cut her palm to lick the blood.

Ch. 365Can I Trust You, Madam?

Raymond recruited Nahiri as an ally by promising to help restore her Ancient Planeswalker power, then revealed his plan to betray Nicol Bolas at the decisive moment. He traveled to Innistrad to hunt the Werewolf Planeswalker Arlinn and found her at a manor, where he planned to pose as an admirer and approach her.

  • Raymond used Time Leap to age dragon and Half-Dragon hatchlings, then Nahiri trapped the rebellious creatures so he could turn most of them into Summoning Creature Cards.
  • Raymond told Nahiri that he planned to turn against Nicol Bolas during the final stage of the War of the Spark, and she agreed to join him in exchange for help restoring her Spark.
  • Raymond visited Nissa in Haidu City, then traveled to Innistrad to locate Arlinn and take her Spark.
  • Raymond sensed Arlinn at a manor and recognized her by her scar and Spark, while she mistook his wolf form for one of her kind.
  • Raymond changed into the guise of a young noble and prepared to enter the manor under the pretense of admiring Arlinn.

Ch. 366The Hunt Is On

Raymond infiltrated the Hollander manor under the name Soros, killed Arlinn, and took her Planeswalker Spark. After sparring with Sorin, he persuaded him to share Ugin’s Eldrazi research so Raymond could pursue a plan to seal the Titans in the Bottomless Abyss.

  • Raymond posed as a wealthy traveler and gained entry to the Hollander manor, where Arlinn arrived disguised as a doctor.
  • Raymond deceived Arlinn into letting him embrace her, restrained her during their Spark resonance, and extracted her Spark before she died.
  • Yoland and the manor guards found Arlinn’s corpse and blamed a servant for hiring the disguised Werewolf, while Raymond teleported away.
  • Sorin tested Raymond’s improved swordsmanship and learned he had met Nahiri; Raymond warned that she might destroy Avacyn and unleash the Eldrazi on Innistrad.
  • Raymond proposed transferring the Eldrazi to the Bottomless Abyss, and Sorin brought him Ugin’s research and sealing runes.
  • Raymond studied Ugin’s materials and learned to use the colorless magic Soulfire.

Ch. 367A Spectacle at the Wedding

Ugin recovered and discussed Nicol Bolas’s plans with Sorin, while Soros left Innistrad to officiate Snape and Lily’s wedding. Sirius Black’s interruption turned the ceremony into a battle, and after Harry shot him, the guests took him to Hogwarts to verify his claim that he was innocent; Raymond stayed behind with Hermione.

  • Ugin told Sorin he planned to investigate ancient magic on Dominaria, and Sorin decided to travel to Ravnica while Ugin left to conceal his movements.
  • Raymond officiated Snape and Lily’s wedding, impressing the guests with magic that transformed the lawn into a flower-filled spectacle.
  • Black, transformed into a dog, attacked Snape and objected to the wedding, accusing him of being a Death Eater and revealing that Lily and James had been murdered.
  • Snape and Black fought, and Harry shot Black; Raymond explained the accusations against him while Snape admitted his past and Lily defended her son.
  • Black insisted Peter Pettigrew had betrayed Lily and James, and McGonagall took him and the other guests to Hogwarts to investigate his memories.
  • Hermione asked Raymond why he stayed behind, and he said he knew Black was innocent before inviting her to demonstrate what she had learned.

Ch. 368If We’re Going to Play, Why Not Go Big?

Hermione Granger tested her newly developed combat magic against Raymond, who revealed his dragon transformation and granted her a Wish. At Hogwarts, Lucius Malfoy proposed expanding Raymond’s influence through the Wizarding World, but Raymond described a plan to control all human society, then warned Lucius and Gemma Farley against trying to manipulate his ambitions.

  • Hermione Granger attacked Raymond with destructive spells and enchanted melee strikes, and he let her demonstrate her abilities before stopping her with Hold Person.
  • Raymond revealed his blue dragon form to Hermione and summoned a Fire Genie to grant her a Wish; she made a secret wish before they teleported to Hogwarts.
  • Outside the Headmaster’s Office, Lucius Malfoy proposed replacing Dolores Umbridge with himself as Minister for Magic and expanding Raymond’s control across the Wizarding World.
  • Raymond dismissed the idea of ruling only the Wizarding World and outlined a plan to control human society through wealthy patrons, magical potions, capital, and influence over vital industries.
  • Lucius Malfoy apologized and swore not to repeat his schemes, while Raymond warned Gemma Farley that she had one more chance before he left for the Headmaster’s Office.

Ch. 369The First Residents of Infinite City

Raymond rejected Dumbledore’s request to lead the Wizarding World and returned to the Floating City, where he recruited deceased experts for research. Isadora then introduced the first batch of ordinary souls to a fabricated future city and recruited them to work as players, setting up their conversion into the Fourth Calamity.

  • Raymond warned Lucius Malfoy and his allies against pursuing power in the Ministry, then witnessed Dumbledore confirm Sirius Black’s innocence and Umbridge promise to punish those responsible for his wrongful imprisonment.
  • Harry learned that Black had remained loyal and gained another godfather, while Raymond teased him about his tangled family and Harry resolved to try to reconcile his relatives.
  • Umbridge used the revelation about Black to purge Ministry positions and elevate allies such as Gemma Farley, while Fudge faced public condemnation and Scabbers disappeared.
  • Dumbledore offered Raymond an ancient-magic notebook and urged him to take over leadership, but Raymond refused and warned that Muggle technology could eventually expose and overwhelm the Wizarding World.
  • Raymond gathered industrial supplies and brought thirty experts to the Floating City, where its departments competed to recruit them for research projects.
  • Isadora awakened several hundred ordinary souls in Infinite City, convinced them that three centuries had passed, and offered them jobs playing a virtual-reality game.

Ch. 370The Fourth Calamity Descends

Raymond launched the Fourth Calamity by awakening the first players, manipulating their impressions of the Floating City, and preparing them for training and future missions. As players chose classes, Jack failed the Wizard test and arrived at the temple demanding to become a Cleric of the Phoenix God, leaving Monlia stunned.

  • Raymond arranged for the first players to awaken in clone bodies, where they tested their new senses and were escorted through the Floating City.
  • Jack and Wu Sheng formed a team, and Raymond presented himself as the city's supreme ruler before directing the players to training academies.
  • Raymond planned to open worlds from A Song of Ice and Fire and Overlord as trial grounds, while postponing a visit to Azeroth.
  • Most players failed the Wizard entrance test and moved on to other classes, while Jack's extreme character build drew ridicule.
  • Wu Sheng explained the Cleric class to Jack and took him to the temple, where Jack knelt before Monlia and demanded to become a Cleric of the Phoenix God.

Ch. 371Asmodeus (Long Chapter)

Players in Plantia Floating City began graduating and preparing to venture beyond the city, while Raymond investigated the mysterious author Kels and learned that Asmodeus had drawn him into a scheme. Raymond left Waterdeep intending to uncover the Lord of the Nine Hells’ motives, and he also received records that might identify Lantis.

  • More than thirty female players became pregnant after arriving in Plantia Floating City, and Jack completed the Phoenix God’s trial to become a full Cleric while Wu Sheng graduated as a Fighter.
  • Vanessa and Talanthyr assigned the newly graduated players to take an experimental airship south, search for another Floating City, and clear out Undead.
  • Raymond read reports about Mind Flayers in Athkatla and grew suspicious of Kels after finding that the bard’s latest book described Raymond’s secret deeds in detail.
  • Raymond traveled to Waterdeep and met Kelben and Leira, who identified the red emblem as Asmodeus’s mark and warned that the Lord of the Nine Hells was targeting him.
  • Kelben gave Raymond records and portraits of Legendary Arcane Archers that might help identify Lantis.

Ch. 372You Were Already a Devil Through and Through

Raymond met Asmodeus, who offered to make him the Nine Hells’ heir in exchange for a pact binding his soul there after death. After Raymond sent Asmodeus away, he dealt with the witnesses, upgraded Utheria into a Pit Fiend, and sent him to observe a trade war between Amn and Sembia.

  • Disguised as Kels, Asmodeus met Soros and explained that the Nine Hells wanted him as its crown prince because his nature aligned with the plane; Soros asked for time to consider the contract.
  • Asmodeus gave Raymond an insignia that could alter Devils’ ranks, then left Kels’s soul in a gem; Raymond used Revival to restore Kels to life.
  • Raymond killed Mrs. Hant and her housekeeper, captured their souls, and cleared Asmodeus’s lingering aura from the estate.
  • Raymond returned to his tower and used the insignia to promote Utheria from an Imp to a Pit Fiend, then gave him a disguise amulet and magical equipment.
  • Raymond ordered Utheria to brief the Council of Six about the Hidden Ones, deliver food, and observe the trade war against Sembia; when Utheria praised Raymond’s supposed plan to provoke famine, Raymond struck him and ordered him out.

Ch. 373Glimmeroil and Dragon Engines

Utheria delivered Soros’s intelligence and a vast food supply to Amn’s Council of Six, which agreed to use the food to undermine Sembia through a trade war. Meanwhile, Soros recruited Lantis as an immortal servant and discovered dangerous Phyrexian Oil and Dragon-Shaped Engines among his newly drawn cards.

  • Utheria revealed his Pit Fiend form to Amn’s Council of Six and delivered a report showing that Mind Flayers had infiltrated Athkatla; the council ordered covert teams from the Cowled Wizards Guild and Shadow Thieves to eliminate them.
  • Utheria opened a case containing forty million tons of food and explained Soros’s plan to crash Sembia’s agriculture and economy; Selze Salemquante thanked Soros and suggested granting him a seat on the Council of Seven.
  • Soros asked Lantis to become his retainer, and Lantis agreed; Soros transformed him into a powerful Storm Arcane Archer servant and upgraded his archer cards.
  • Raymond used Legacy to draw accumulated cards and found Phyrexian Oil and three Dragon-Shaped Engines among them.
  • Raymond summoned one Dragon-Shaped Engine, saw its immense size and power, and decided to bring experts from the Floating City to study its technology.

Ch. 374Players Stirred into Action

Soth established a research base for studying Dominaria’s ancient magical machines and arranged for players to test a newly built hydrogen airship on their first mission. After an update promised classed players access to a new world, Jack and Wu Sheng planned to form their own faction and led a team into a plague-stricken forest, where they encountered undead wild boars.

  • Soth brought researchers and Talanthyr to inspect the Dragon-Shaped Engines and other ancient machines, then authorized their reverse engineering while warning them not to touch the energy cores.
  • Talanthyr told Soth that newly graduated players would search for other Floating Cities aboard an experimental airship, and Soth learned that its gas bag was filled with hydrogen.
  • Bol launched the airship with more than one hundred and forty players, prompting other players to train harder after Vanessa announced that a new world would open to players with class levels.
  • Jack and Wu Sheng decided to recruit players and establish their own faction in the coming world, then continued their mission aboard the airship.
  • The players landed, built a temporary camp, and divided into search teams; Jack and Wu Sheng took Caroline, the only Sorcerer among them, into their group.
  • Jack and Wu Sheng’s team encountered dead, decaying wild boars in the forest, and Caroline screamed at the sight.

Ch. 375Mutahal Floating City

Jack, Wu Sheng, and their party discovered the hidden Mutahal Floating City, triggering a rapid military response from Plantia. As the Airship rescued the surviving scouts, Plantia’s forces prepared to attack the city.

  • Caroline’s scream alerted a herd of Boar Zombies, but the Rogue’s modified crossbow bolt caused a chain reaction that toppled many of them, and Jack and Wu Sheng helped kill the rest.
  • The party gained experience based on their battle contributions, then changed tactics and hunted more creatures; Caroline gained confidence in combat as the group fought Ghouls and other Undead.
  • Wu Sheng’s party found the camouflaged Mutahal Floating City, but its Undead residents spotted them and pursued them as they fled and sent a signal.
  • Vanessa mobilized Plantia for war, ordered Bol to hold the Mutahal Floating City, and prepared the city’s cannons, bombs, and defenses while Bol gathered players aboard the Airship.
  • The Airship dropped Holy Water on the pursuing Undead and lowered a rope ladder; Jack rescued the exhausted Caroline, and he and Wu Sheng climbed aboard.

Ch. 376This Is What You Call Bombardment

Jack, Wu Sheng, and the other players bombed Mutahal Floating City to interrupt an undead ritual, then fought off waves of flying undead until reinforcements arrived. Plantia Floating City’s artillery devastated the city, and Talanthyr gave the surviving undead half an hour to surrender.

  • Bol ordered the airship’s crew to abandon widespread bombing and target the ritual at Mutahal Floating City’s Central Tower, promising doubled rewards if they stopped it.
  • Jack and the players linked bombs together and dropped them over the target, unleashing explosions and fires that interrupted the ritual and devastated the surrounding area.
  • Flying undead and magical attacks struck the airship, forcing the players to fight as it descended; fewer than twenty survived until Bol announced that reinforcements had arrived.
  • Bol detached the airship’s rear section as an escape craft, while Plantia Floating City’s enormous artillery shells bombarded Mutahal and destroyed much of the city.
  • Talanthyr arrived on a Red Dragon and gave the remaining undead half an hour to surrender, though he intended to preserve the Floating City rather than destroy it.

Ch. 377Fury from the Bottomless Abyss

Raymond sealed Monahil away from the Abyss, survived the Abyssal Will’s retaliation, and captured two Half-Construct Balors. After learning that players had found Mutahal Floating City and Plantia had suppressed it, he went down to inspect the city.

  • Fourteen undead spellcasters voted nine to five to surrender, then the two factions faced off when the five holdouts refused to disarm.
  • Raymond used Positive Energy and sealing magic to turn the mortally wounded Monahil into a Creature Card, provoking the Abyssal Will to corrupt two Iron Golems into Half-Construct Balors.
  • Raymond defeated the Half-Construct Balors and added their Creature Cards to his collection.
  • Isadora revealed that she had created a psionic power to appeal to Raymond’s desires, and Raymond warned her to keep it secret and remain obedient.
  • Isadora told Raymond that players had found Mutahal Floating City; he arrived at Plantia, heard that it had suppressed Mutahal, and praised the players’ unpredictable combat potential.
  • Raymond jumped from Plantia Floating City, landed near Mutahal, and entered an underground tunnel to inspect the city.

Ch. 378The Animated Floating City

Raymond seized control of the Mutahal Floating City, subdued its undead, and fused it with Plantia into a new crystallized ghost city. After recovering its secrets and returning with magical loot, he arrived as the players gathered to claim rewards and gamble for prizes.

  • Raymond captured a Grave Knight and drove the lesser undead back with his holy sword before confronting fourteen undead spellcasters, who surrendered after he revealed his identity and the source of the Magic Plague.
  • Raymond used Spark Resonance with Arlinn’s spark to seal Mutahal into a card, fused it with Plantia’s Your Other Half card, and summoned the resulting floating city beside Plantia.
  • Raymond entered Mutahal with the Diary, who had become its controlling consciousness, and found the secret book describing how the Magic Knights had been created through generations of brutal crossbreeding.
  • The Diary told Raymond that the Magic Knights’ progenitor remained alive in a time-frozen pocket space, and Raymond decided players could investigate the progenitor’s genes to develop a safer advancement method.
  • Raymond inspected the progenitor and the Earth Vein Heart, then returned to Plantia with magical research and supplies for the players.
  • Raymond found players gathered for the scratch-card rewards, where elite players eagerly gambled their bonuses for a prized magical firearm.

Ch. 379Forming a Squad

Players traded lottery prizes and formed a large squad to prepare for the next world, while Raymond established a portal and surveillance network in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire. The chapter left Raymond heading off to check the timeline as the Diary waited for Mutahal Floating City’s energy matrices to finish charging.

  • Caroline traded for Arcane Magic scrolls, then used loans, guarantees, and market arbitrage to gather valuable magical goods and earn the trust of ordinary players.
  • Jack and Wu Sheng tested an Alchemical Firearm, accepted Bol’s offer to become weapon testers, and recruited Caroline and Inez into a permanent squad that grew to more than two hundred and fifty members.
  • Raymond traveled to Pentos, launched a psionic signal receiver into orbit, and built a Crystal Tower with a portal connecting to Mutahal Floating City.
  • Elder Brain Isadora surveyed Westeros and much of Essos and Sothoryos, reporting that no power in the world could threaten Raymond.
  • Raymond vanished to confirm the current point in time, while the Diary and an Undead army guarded the new outpost and Mutahal Floating City continued charging its energy matrices.

Ch. 380What Bad Intentions Could Raymond Possibly Have?

Raymond secretly hatched Illyrio Mopatis’s three dragon eggs, manipulated the magister into believing he was destined to conquer two continents, and set him on a course toward war. After Illyrio abused Viserys and sent Daenerys to Raymond, Raymond instead drew her blood to investigate the Targaryen affinity with dragons before leaving Pentos.

  • Raymond entered Illyrio’s chambers, demonstrated that he could awaken a dragon egg, and hatched all three dragons for the magister.
  • Raymond gave Illyrio a ruby ring and used mental magic to convince him he was destined to become a great conqueror and to treat Raymond as his trusted advisor.
  • At Illyrio’s banquet, Viserys demanded the dragons, but they ignored him; Raymond then magically redirected Illyrio’s lust toward Viserys, who was taken away and sexually assaulted.
  • Illyrio planned to kill Khal Drogo and asked Raymond to curse him, while Raymond accepted and then went to the room where Daenerys had been sent.
  • Raymond drew three tubes of Daenerys’s blood to investigate the Targaryen connection to dragons, and she fell asleep before he vanished by dawn.

Ch. 381Family Birds and Wild Birds

Raymond prepared Westeros and Essos for the players, established the Phoenix God Bennu’s faith in Pentos, and advised Viserys and Daenerys about their futures. After the Diary revealed that Astar had been reborn as an infant, Raymond returned to Plantia Floating City to meet his former mentor.

  • Raymond helped Illyrio abolish R'hllor’s temple in Pentos, summoned Bennu’s avatar, and converted tens of thousands of people to the Phoenix God’s faith.
  • Raymond warned Bennu to prepare for the possibility that R'hllor existed, then told Viserys that power came from force and advised him to hide his intentions while currying favor with Illyrio.
  • Raymond told Daenerys she could choose between a sheltered life and freedom; she chose safety and fell asleep in his arms.
  • The Diary reported that Valena’s newborn son had Astar’s memories and magical talent, and Raymond decided to meet and recruit him rather than treat him as an enemy.
  • Raymond traveled to Plantia Floating City, found the infant Astar by the Elder Brain Pool, and began answering his questions about what had happened since they opened the portal to Faerûn.
