"Other than the jutsu in textbooks, aren't they all supposed to be kept strictly confidential? Clan jutsu aren't passed outside the clan, and even advanced jutsu learned from the village have to be reported before being taught to family members."
Neji was a little flustered as he voiced what he knew to be common sense, but clearly, there were gaps between people.
"But we're people of the Land of Fire."
Neji had no idea what that meant, but the others watching from afar all wore expressions that said, "I knew Naruto was going to say that."
Whenever Naruto wanted to teach someone jutsu, he always used this line of reasoning. If they remembered correctly, his next sentence would probably be—
"If ninja from the Land of Fire can't use Fire Style, then why is it called the Land of Fire?"
Just as expected, Naruto said the line, and the people gathered around to gossip burst into delighted laughter.
"You'll have to learn it eventually anyway, so I might as well teach you today! Hehe."
Put plainly, Naruto just wanted to play teacher.
Neji looked at Hinata in confusion.
"Lady Hinata, will the Main Family teach Fire Style jutsu in the future? I've never seen anyone in the clan use it."
"What?"
Hinata was clear about nothing. Her mind was entirely on her dear brother and Naruto-kun. Watching the two of them tugging at each other, she had no attention left to hear what they were saying.
"Has anyone at home ever mentioned teaching you Fire Style jutsu?"
"N-no, I haven't heard of any such arrangement..."
"What? So Hinata can't use it either. Come learn with everyone!"
After saying that, Naruto came over and took Hinata's hand. Naturally, Hinata blushed and promptly fainted from the heat.
"Lady Hinata! Naruto, what did you do?!"
Neji panicked. The young lady had fainted right in front of him—wasn't that a failure in his duty to protect her? That white-eyed wolf of a clan head would surely chant the tightening spell at him until he died.
Since the Uchiha Clan Grounds were Sasuke's territory, he hurried over to reassure them that it was "heatstroke."
After a bout of frantic fussing, Hinata was moved to a Shady Spot. The ice brought over by a Shadow Clone went unused, and Hinata woke again soon after. After all, she was just too embarrassed, not actually suffering from heatstroke.
"Um, that's strange. Why does Hinata call you Brother Neji, while you have to call her Lady Hinata? Aren't you siblings?"
It did not seem right to blame Naruto for what had just happened, so Neji suppressed the slight displeasure in his heart and answered Naruto's rather prying question.
"Hinata and I are cousins, but she is from the Main Family, while I am from the Branch Family."
That one short sentence was not enough to clear up Naruto's confusion. Who knew whether he would touch Neji's nerve if he kept asking? Sasuke stepped in to cut him off.
"Naruto, that's another clan's internal matter. You're asking too much. It's rude."
"Big clans really are such a pain."
Hinata had recovered quite a bit. Though she still stammered when facing Naruto, she nodded to show that she wanted to learn from him and join in the group activity.
Taking the three of them to the lakeside, Naruto first formed Hand Seals in slow motion for everyone to see.
"Then gather Chakra in your mouth and go whoosh—spit it out, and you're done!"
"Just go whoosh."
Naruto's teaching ability was truly beyond criticism.
Although he did not explain things clearly, the Hyuga Clan's heritage was no joke. They could use the Byakugan to directly observe Chakra pathways, but they also had to memorize the human body like medical students—what effects attacks on different areas would produce was something they had trained in since childhood.
On top of that, they could immediately observe the flow of Chakra inside Naruto's body.
On the first try, the Hyuga cousins successfully spat out flames.
On the second try, they could already breathe the fire farther.
Seeing how absurdly fast the two of them had picked it up, Naruto could not help saying proudly, "I really do have a talent for being a teacher!"
"Kiba, did you see that? The fact that you took so long to learn definitely wasn't because I was bad at teaching!"
Kiba immediately started arguing with Naruto about it again.
"I asked my mom already! Not everyone necessarily has the same Chakra nature! Not everyone in Konoha has Fire-nature Chakra either! So it's normal for me to learn Fire Style slowly!"
"But didn't all of you learn it in the end? That proves I was right—everyone can learn Fire Style!"
"Ino and I obviously learned because Sasuke taught us well!"
"But I was involved too! I taught you the Hand Seals!"
Neji was a grade above them. Although the clan's education gave the Branch Family little extra support, he could still hear plenty of bragging and nonsense in Naruto's words.
As for Chakra natures, once one got a little older and became a ninja, it was common knowledge. The classmate named Kiba was not wrong.
He was somewhat surprised that, according to what they were saying, everyone else present could actually use Fire Style.
"So Naruto, has everyone else here really learned Fire Style?"
"Of course. Though Kiba and Ino might not be able to spit out much. Didn't I teach really well just now? You learned it right away."
Neji was rather speechless. He was just about to explain that the truth was that he had relied on the Byakugan when Hinata's soft voice reached his ears.
"Naruto-kun taught very well."
Fine. Refuting him now would be like embarrassing Hinata, but he could not bring himself to praise Naruto against his conscience either.
"It was... all right."
Still, someone took Naruto's bragging seriously. After all, their intelligence was on the same level.
"Naruto-kun, I still haven't quite learned it. Please teach me again!"
"No problem!"
Faced with Rock Lee's humble request for instruction, Naruto made an emphatic guarantee.
Half an hour later, Naruto's and Rock Lee's cheeks were both sore from blowing, and neither of them could speak clearly. Yet there had been no progress at all.
Left with no choice, Naruto sought outside help.
"Sasuke! Sasuke! Rock Lee is as hard to teach as Kiba. Come take a look~"
Teaching Rock Lee the five elemental jutsu? Wouldn't that warrant an S-rank Mission?
He might not remember much else from the story, but Rock Lee's condition had remained unresolved all the way to the end. If he managed to teach even Rock Lee, wouldn't he immediately earn the title of Konoha Special Jonin-level senior instructor?
Then he suddenly thought of a certain perverted guy in round sunglasses. That really was not a good title.
"I still need to work for the rest of the day, and I'm afraid my Chakra won't be Not Enough, so I can't guarantee when I'll be able to teach him. It took Kiba more than half a month just to spit out a flame. Don't rush for results."
When Sasuke arrived by the lake, the first thing he did upon seeing Rock Lee was lower expectations and dampen his enthusiasm.
"Rock Lee, you said yourself that you can't use any ninjutsu at all. You can't even use a single one of the Three Body Technique. So it's entirely possible that you won't be able to use Fire Style either, understand?"
Rock Lee stared with determinedly wide eyes.
"Yes. Although Naruto-kun has been very enthusiastic, I'm mentally prepared for the possibility that I won't be able to learn it."
Teaching Rock Lee ninjutsu—Sasuke had to admit, he was interested in trying it too.
Without any background, Rock Lee had probably never received detailed instruction. Ninja was a profession where one only had a future through connections. Rock Lee, a nobody, was, to put it harshly, destined to become mere expendable material in the ninja world. No one would patiently teach him from the ground up. If he could not learn, who besides himself would even care?
