Chapter 1: A New World

On a bright, sunny day, Polyushika walked toward her carefully tended medicinal herb garden as usual. A gentle breeze brushed against her skin, and birds sang cheerfully along the way, making everything seem so peaceful and beautiful.

However, when she arrived beside the herb garden, she was shocked to discover a scene unlike anything she had seen before—a swaddled baby was lying there quietly.

Polyushika froze. She hesitated for quite a while, and after looking around and seeing no sign that anyone was nearby, she finally moved forward cautiously and gently picked the baby up in her arms.

After returning home, Polyushika carefully checked the baby's basic condition. To her relief, the little one was perfectly healthy, with a tiny, rosy face that was absolutely adorable. He seemed to still be fast asleep and would not be waking up anytime soon.

Polyushika wondered, How could such a tiny child have appeared here? Completely at a loss, she decided to ask Makarov to come over and discuss what they should do.

It was not long before Makarov hurried over. The two old people quietly stared at the baby before them, and neither said a word. The room soon fell silent.

At last, Makarov was the first to break the silence. He slowly said, "In my opinion, you should raise the child for now. I really can't find anyone suitable to look after him on my end. Besides, you're the one who found him. Perhaps you're fated to be with him. Once he grows a little older and becomes more sensible, we can consider bringing him to our guild."

After hearing Makarov's words, Polyushika slightly furrowed her brows and remained silent for a long while. Although she found the situation rather troublesome, she knew there was indeed no better solution for now, so she could only nod helplessly in agreement. And so, this mysteriously appeared baby began his life beside Polyushika.

Allen had always been nothing more than an ordinary wage earner. Every day, aside from working to make a living, the only things that brought him a little enjoyment and relaxation were watching his favorite anime and collecting all kinds of exquisite figures.

That day, after finishing another day of work as usual, Allen headed excitedly toward the parcel station not far from his rented apartment. A treasure he had been looking forward to for ages was being held there—his long-awaited LordKnightmon X figure! Under normal delivery procedures, the package would not have arrived at his door until the next day, but Allen was too eager to contain himself. He decided to go to the station early and pick it up himself.

When Allen finally took the package from the employee, his excitement was impossible to hide. He did not even care about the eyes of those around him and tore open the outer packaging right there. In an instant, the dazzling box of the LordKnightmon X figure appeared before his eyes. Allen was overjoyed and wished he could assemble and display the figure immediately, so he hurriedly gathered up the discarded packaging and quickly headed back to his apartment.

Allen walked at a rapid pace the entire way, while the imposing image of LordKnightmon X kept appearing in his mind. He was completely immersed in the joy of soon owning his new toy. Before he realized it, he had reached a crosswalk. The traffic light was red, but Allen was too eager to get home and assemble the figure to pay attention. The moment the light turned green, he stepped forward without hesitation.

But just then, an accident occurred. With all his attention focused on the figure, Allen failed to notice that a small car on the nearby road had run the red light and was speeding straight toward him. By the time he realized the danger was upon him, it was already too late. After a dull impact, agonizing pain shot through his entire body, and then everything went black as he lost consciousness.

Allen expended an enormous amount of effort before finally managing to slowly open his unbearably heavy eyes. He blinked, trying to adjust to the light around him, but everything he saw was so unfamiliar and bewildering.

When Allen tried to get up as he usually would, he was stunned to sense something strange—his body had become incredibly small! Looking down, he found, incredulously, that he had shrunk to the size of a baby. Allen was completely dumbfounded, his mind a chaotic mess. "I was only hit by a car. How could something this bizarre happen? Why did my body suddenly become smaller?"

As Allen was filled with confusion and had no idea what to do, the door to the room was suddenly pushed open. A figure slowly walked inside.

Allen raised his head and saw an older woman quickly approach the bed. Once he recognized her, his eyes widened, and he was even more astonished—the woman before him was Polyushika! The character who existed only in the anime Fairy Tail!

Combining this with the changes to his body, Allen finally understood. He had not simply suffered an accident that caused his body to become abnormal. By some twist of fate, he had crossed over into the world of Fairy Tail!

Allen took a deep breath, trying to calm his panicked heart after arriving in this completely unfamiliar world. He knew very well that now that he was here, he had to adapt to everything as quickly as possible.

At that moment, Polyushika was watching Allen intently. After spending several days with him, the old woman had already happily accepted the arrival of this little baby, and the legendary affection between generations had instantly welled up inside her. Her eyes overflowed with tenderness and love as she gently bent down and leaned closer to Allen, asking softly, "How are you feeling, my little one?"

Allen slightly opened his mouth, wanting to respond to Polyushika's concern. However, all that came from him was a series of indistinct coos. Yet those simple, innocent sounds seemed to possess a magical power, instantly putting Polyushika in a cheerful mood.

Polyushika eagerly reached out with both hands and carefully lifted Allen into her arms. She gazed at the little person in her embrace, unable to take her eyes off him for even a moment, her face glowing with an irrepressible smile of happiness.

Having never had children, Polyushika had always struggled to understand why some adults could not help laughing whenever they held a child. But now, after taking Allen into her arms and beginning to tease the adorable little fellow, she finally understood why.

Perhaps it was fate. Polyushika said to the baby in her arms, "How about I give you a name? What do you think of Allen?"

Perhaps he had heard what Polyushika said. The baby in her arms smiled at her and narrowed his eyes, making Polyushika even happier.
