Horst looked up and was stunned to see Allen from another extermination route!
"Cough, cough... It's you, Allen. I'm sorry I couldn't handle things better. Carlton ambushed me. That bastard attacked me from behind when I wasn't paying attention. If my defenses hadn't been a little stronger, I might have died. Eve reacted faster and dodged the ambush, but I don't know where she is now." Horst gritted his teeth as he spoke of what had happened, struggling to rise from the ground.
Seeing this, Allen hurriedly cast a spell to slightly suppress the wounds that were still bleeding profusely. He then carefully helped Horst to his feet. At that moment, the mage who had been fighting Horst sneered and said, "Oh? Another fool who doesn't know when to die! Are you people like cockroaches? No matter how many I kill, you just keep crawling out!"
Allen acted as though he hadn't heard the provocation, not even bothering to acknowledge his opponent. At that moment, all his attention was focused on the injured Horst. He steadily supported Horst to a relatively safe spot nearby and told him to rest there while he dealt with the battle.
After settling Horst down, Allen turned back and said firmly, "Brother Horst, rest here for a while. Leave the rest to me. Trust me, this battle will be over soon."
Hearing this, Horst grabbed Allen's hand tightly, worry showing on his face. He hurriedly warned him, "Allen, this enemy is no simple opponent. The magic he uses is extremely strange. Based on my earlier fight with him, it seems to be the same kind of magic those demons use. I've never seen this magic before, so be extremely careful!"
Faced with Horst's concern and warning, Allen gently patted the back of his hand and reassured him, "Don't worry, Brother Horst. Leave it to me!" With that, Allen turned to face the mage ahead.
Looking at the bare-chested man whose entire arm was wrapped in a giant serpent tattoo, Allen said expressionlessly:
"You're Seo Ramsey, aren't you? Have you decided how you want to die?"
Seo was slightly taken aback when someone called his name. A trace of surprise appeared on his face, but he quickly returned to his arrogant expression. The corner of his mouth curled into an evil smile as he replied disdainfully, "Hmph, where did you crawl out from, you little bastard? How dare you address me by name!"
After a brief pause, Seo seemed to feel that his words hadn't been intimidating enough, so he deliberately deepened his tone and roared, "You're the one who should be thinking about how you're going to die!"
Yet the instant Seo's voice fell, Allen's figure blurred. Like a ghost, he appeared before Seo in an instant. At the same time, Gram, gripped tightly in his right hand, flashed with cold light and drove straight toward Seo.
Seo's eyes widened in disbelief. He had never expected Allen to be so fast. As the incomparably sharp Gram was about to pierce his body, Seo had no time to think and instinctively crossed both arms before his chest.
With a thunderous bang, Gram slammed into Seo's arms. The tremendous impact sent him flying backward like a cannonball. He smashed through several walls along the way before finally coming to a stop.
Allen remained where he was, his gaze locked onto the battered Seo in the distance. He clearly saw that, the instant Gram struck Seo, scales identical to those that had appeared when he fought Malcolm surfaced on Seo's arm.
"What did you sacrifice to Asmodeus this time?"
Seo was still shocked that Allen's attack had pierced straight through his defenses when he heard Allen say Asmodeus's name. Anger flared within him, but Allen gave him no time to vent it. His figure blurred, and he appeared above Seo, Gram's tip pointing downward as it stabbed straight toward Seo's head.
Just as Gram was about to strike Seo, several magic tentacles suddenly burst from his body.
"Touch of Destruction!"
A single tentacle was easily shattered by Gram, but Seo continued summoning more Touches of Destruction from his body, trying to slow Allen's attack.
Seo's idea was sound, but since Allen had decided not to waste time, he wasn't going to drag things out against a minor underling.
"Holy Spear Slash!"
Gram's surface instantly blazed with dazzling light. Before the Touches of Destruction could even touch Gram, they were torn apart. Sensing danger, Seo performed the same maneuver Malcolm had used back then, attempting to merge with Asmodeus's avatar.
But Allen's attack power was no longer what it had been then.
Seo's fusion was swift. In less than a second, the fusion was complete, and a gigantic serpent suddenly appeared in the street. But in the next instant, Gram plunged straight into the serpent's head, and the impact instantly shredded Seo's head.
"No... Impossible!!!"
The giant serpent, which had only just appeared, immediately reverted to Seo's form. However, Seo looked absolutely wretched now, his entire head split apart.
Horst was extremely shocked to see the opponent he had struggled against fail to withstand even two moves from Allen. But after thinking it over, he realized that only someone as powerful as Allen would be worth Carlton spending so much effort dealing with.
While Horst was lost in thought, Allen walked over and said, "Brother Horst, leave the city first. Then contact your guild and report what happened here. Tell the leader of the Ice Crystal Federation to send people to take over this place as soon as possible."
When Allen finished speaking and prepared to leave, Horst asked him, "Allen, what are you going to do?"
"Save more people!"
After leaving those words behind, Allen quickly ran forward. Inspired by Allen, Horst also rallied himself and contacted his guild master.
Just as Allen continued forward, a colossal purple-glowing Magic Circle suddenly appeared in the center of the city without warning. Accompanied by a deafening rumble, a giant serpent's roar that shook the heavens suddenly erupted from within the bottomless Magic Circle.
Immediately afterward, the giant serpent phantom that had once appeared in the Town of Almond manifested in reality in Irkutsk.
The giant serpent's body was as thick as a hill, its entire form covered in dark green scales that glinted with a sinister, cold light. It opened its bloody maw, its sharp fangs sending chills through anyone who saw them, as if it intended to swallow the entire world. Black smoke poured from its mouth and filled the air. When the smoke fell onto some leaves, they dissolved on contact.
Allen's expression instantly turned solemn. He stared fixedly at the enormous creature before him and thought to himself, No wonder Serpent's Lair cooperated with the Dark Magic Group, and no wonder they chose this place. It seems they've been planning this for a long time.
At that moment, Asmodeus seemed to have sensed Allen's presence. Its lantern-sized eyes locked onto the direction where Allen stood. As a deep hiss rang out, Asmodeus swung its enormous tail and lunged at Allen like an arrow released from a bow.
Allen's heart tightened. He could clearly sense the vast amount of magic power contained within Asmodeus. Against such a powerful opponent, he knew that confronting it head-on in his current condition would be no different from throwing an egg against a rock. Thus, he chose to risk everything!
"Full Body Reception: LordKnightmon!"
During his few months in Magnolia, Allen had focused on training his physical strength so that he could better withstand the burden brought by receiving LordKnightmon's power.
"Touch of Destruction!"
Countless genuine Touches of Destruction suddenly erupted from Asmodeus's enormous body, each radiating a terrifying aura! Their numbers were astonishing. They blotted out the sky as they howled upward, then naturally fell like rain from midway through the air, crashing toward Allen with unstoppable force.
After successfully receiving LordKnightmon's power, Allen's movements had become extraordinarily agile and nimble. He darted like a ghost among the densely packed Touches of Destruction, deftly seizing the gaps between them and dodging left and right. However, the terrifying damage caused by the Touches of Destruction still far exceeded his expectations.
When the Touches of Destruction crashed heavily into the ground, they did not trigger the violent explosions one might have expected. Instead, they melted away instantly like strong acid on metal, leaving behind one enormous bottomless crater after another.
Although Allen trusted Aegis's defense, he had no desire to take the risk.
Seeing that Asmodeus continued firing Touches of Destruction, Allen decided to close the distance first.
Using his superb movement technique, Allen quickly approached Asmodeus. When he was only a dozen or so meters away, he leaped high into the air, light flashing along the tip of Gram in his hand.
"Royal Spear Strike!"
Allen shouted as a massive beam of light rapidly stabbed toward Asmodeus's head.
Asmodeus's enormous size meant that its agility was lacking. Royal Spear Strike struck it directly in the chin.
BOOM!!!
Asmodeus's head jerked upward. Royal Spear Strike blasted a clear wound into its chin, but the wound immediately healed.
"That regenerative ability...!"
Allen stared gravely at Asmodeus's self-healing power. This was going to be troublesome!
After being attacked, the Touches of Destruction temporarily stopped firing. At that moment, a ring of black light appeared around the enraged Asmodeus's head. The radiance slowly transformed into one small Dark Magic Serpent after another, all of them baring their fangs and rushing toward Allen.
"Shadow Bind Strangulation!"
