Just as Garurumon's Foxfire was about to be fired, Mira, pinned to the ground, shouted angrily, "Flame Eruption!"
A massive amount of flame suddenly erupted from Mira's body. The intense heat forced Garurumon to stop its attack. It quickly leaped away, and Mira slowly rose to her feet. Her aura surged rapidly. Amid the flames filling the sky, she looked like a valkyrie standing proudly at the center of the battlefield.
Mira drew the flames that had been radiating outward back into her body, forming a layer of flaming armor over her skin. She crooked a finger at Yukino and Garurumon, a confident smile lifting the corners of her mouth. "Come on. Round two!"
Although Garurumon had been provoked, it remained calm. It stared at Mira before turning to Yukino and saying, "Yukino, I need greater speed and strength."
Yukino did not reply. She simply increased the flow of magic power within her body. The magic power on Garurumon's four limbs gradually spread across its entire body. Feeling the enhancement, Garurumon let out an excited roar and charged straight at Mira.
After using Flame Eruption, Mira's speed and strength had increased greatly. Combined with the defense of her flaming armor, she no longer dodged Garurumon's attacks or the blade-like fur on its shoulders.
The human and beast engaged in an extremely fierce—one might even call it insane—close-quarters battle. One threw a punch while the other swiped with a claw. They dodged whatever attacks they could and endured the rest with their bodies. Every so often, Blazing Roar and Foxfire triggered violent explosions across the arena, their orange-red and deep-blue flames intertwining as they scattered through the air.
After yet another explosion caused by the flames of both sides, Mira and Garurumon retreated several steps at the same time, panting heavily.
