The wooden door was gently pushed open by Allen, and sunlight spilled straight into the little tavern.
The tavern was not open for business yet. There was only the owner behind the counter, with two workers cleaning nearby. The sole customer was Precht, sitting at the counter and sipping wine.
The moment Allen entered, he spotted Precht at the counter. Although Precht had his back to him, Allen could still sense that Precht was currently normal.
Precht had already sensed Allen's arrival when he reached the outside of the tavern. He sat at the counter without turning around, simply drinking his wine.
Allen sat directly beside Precht and looked at his profile. "Do you feel normal right now?"
After taking a sip of wine, Precht said casually, "Who knows? Maybe I'll be controlled again the next second."
Looking at the lifeless expression on Precht's face, Allen said impatiently, "I don't have time to waste here with you. I'll only ask you once: are you coming with me?"
Precht downed the wine in his glass, then said coldly, "It doesn't matter to me which timeline I'm in anymore. Maybe I can live a little more freely here."
After hearing Precht's answer, Allen decisively stood up and prepared to leave. Before going, he said to Precht, "If it weren't for Mavis asking me, I wouldn't have come looking for you at all. What a waste of my time!"
