History
Shen Tianchen’s admission
The three members assessed Shen Tianchen when he sought admission to Heaven Dou Royal Academy. After he countered Zhi Lin’s mental attack and displayed his Sword Intent, Meng Shenji welcomed him into the Heaven Dou Class. The committee also granted his requests to skip regular classes and observe or guide the Heaven Dou Team’s training 9.
When Shen Tianchen began assembling the Imperial Dou Second Team, the committee designated a separate training ground and residential area for it, reserving ten houses for members and substitutes. Meng Shenji offered to help arrange a Mimicry Training Ground when needed 45.
Conflict between the academy teams
Following clashes between the Imperial Dou First and Second Teams, the committee summoned both sides and sought to settle the dispute within the academy. Zhi Lin reprimanded the First Team, and Meng Shenji directed its captain, Yu Tianheng, to apologize to Shen Tianchen. The members abandoned an earlier idea of placing Shen Tianchen and Ning Rongrong on the First Team because the dispute threatened its unity; they instead offered to help recruit students for Shen Tianchen’s team 52 53.
The committee later promised the Second Team additional resources and a larger training ground 62. Its handling of the First Team became more contentious after Dugu Yan complained about Qin Ming’s conduct during an encounter with Shrek Academy. The members questioned Yu Tianheng’s incomplete account and heard Qin Ming’s version, but were wary of both the conflicting claims and Dugu Bo’s reaction 79 82 85 86.
Dismissal and replacement
The members supported Qin Ming’s proposal to bring in the Shrek Team, provided Shen Tianchen approved. They subsequently pressed Shen Tianchen to relinquish his right to form the Imperial Dou Second Team, offering him the chance to form the First Team for the next tournament instead. Shen Tianchen refused, pointing out that Crown Prince Xue Qinghe had given him that right; Prince Xue Xing intervened on his side 86 92 93.
After Qin Ming’s misconduct was brought before Emperor Xue Ye, Meng Shenji, Bai Baoshan and Zhi Lin were held responsible for negligence and dismissed. They remained in Heaven Dou City after retiring 98 125. Prince Xue Xing continued to manage the academy and appointed two new Education Committee members, though they held relatively little authority under him 105.
