Beishui City's buildings made extensive use of massive locally quarried granite and marble. Their walls were exceptionally thick, built to withstand the freezing winds and possible attacks by soul beasts. From afar, the city resembled a cluster of gray-white fortresses dominating the snowfields.
Thanks to its rich underground geothermal resources, Beishui City had constructed a public hot spring canal system. Warm streams shrouded in white mist burbled through stone channels along both sides of the main streets. They not only supplied the city with heat, but also served as the center of daily life and social activity for its citizens.
Pedestrians on the streets wore thick fur coats, their faces rosy as white vapor spilled from their mouths. By the hot spring canals, people could always be found soaking their feet, chatting, and doing business, creating Beishui City's distinctive street culture.
Skywater Academy, one of the Heaven Dou Empire's Four Elements Academies, was located in this city.
