Winter's First Snow

As Victor traveled along, he found Sunset City's order impeccable. Although the weather had grown colder, the streets were no less crowded, and the city's bustle was even more prosperous than during his previous two visits.

Before he could ask, Yellen answered first. "It's all thanks to that operation. We cleared out most of the territory's tumors, and the rest have settled down. While I was away fighting, Steward Magnus managed the territory very well.

"After you led the troops to capture Blackwater City, Sunset City became a distribution hub for goods from the noble territories throughout the Eastern Region so we could trade with Blackwater City's merchant guild. That attracted quite a few small and medium-sized merchant caravans.

"After the Civil War ended, the trade routes throughout the various regions became passable again. On top of that, the new batch of ocean-going merchant ships built while the old count was still alive had begun to be completed.

"Relying on the new ocean-going merchant ships, Steward Magnus organized two northbound fleets before winter. Since these merchant ships also had better self-sufficiency, the sea route south was expanded as well.

"Now there are even more merchant caravans in the city than before. In addition, after the Civil War, many newly established noble territories also needed to purchase supplies, making the city much livelier than usual for this time of year!"

After listening, Victor nodded. Magnus and Yellen were both Count Black's trusted ministers entrusted with his final wishes. As expected, neither of them had any problems with their abilities, and they had managed the territory very well.
