The Faith Order had once suffered a devastating blow on the Skyline Grassland. This mission was crucial to its recovery and growth; they could not afford the slightest mistake.
The Exalted One had once received a Divine Revelation. He said that gods dwelled high above this world, and that all people were their children, brothers and sisters to one another. Only human conflict and violence had driven the gods into hiding. If everyone lived in peace, the gods would reveal themselves, and all would receive their blessings: a good life free from hunger, cold, illness, and disaster.
The Exalted One spread his faith across the grassland, and people gradually gathered around him. Seeing how many followers he had, he founded the Faith Order to make it easier to guide them. As it grew, he hoped to lead his followers to a peaceful land where they could work out how to bring harmony to humankind.
Later, the Exalted One discovered that the Tribal Alliance on the Skyline Grassland was an alliance in name only. The great tribes crushed smaller ones for their own gain, throwing the grassland into chaos. Displaced Barbarian refugees were everywhere. There was no peaceful land to be found.
To end the chaos, the Exalted One hoped to help a small tribe grow strong enough to protect the interests of the other small tribes and secure a peaceful land for the Faith Order.
At first, the Faith Order had little interest in spreading its teachings. But as the tribe allied with it grew stronger, more of the tribe's people embraced its faith, and its standing rose.
